For the 2 personal loan accounts they finally managed to accept my claim the day before deadline date as the loan accounts are dealt with a different department even though I sent the resolver emails all at the same time.
This is why we were advising people not to use Resolver in the final stages prior to the Deadline.

All water under the bridge now, of course.

Well done on your success. :T
  • I have just taken a call from the YB, they have made my calculations and it is being currently quality checked and an offer letter is to be sent out next week. I asked could they give me an indication of the offer and the reply came in excess of £40k.

It took awhile, however I did all by myself, not a CMC in sight and I keep all of the redress.

    Marty..

I had submitted a claim for miss selling on PPI from my bank HSBC, applied on the last day that you could. Didn’t have any paperwork so didn’t expect I’d get anything but I did. Several letters from September to January saying they were investigating, one call from a senior PPI manager to ask a few questions.
Next thing I knew £7853.70 was paid into my bank!!!
Well happy about that and very grateful to Martin, his team and others here for the advice. I did the claim myself so no fees.
Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Sealed pot challenge number 9 number 482
  • After wanting to do it myself for ages, but never getting around to it, the deadline for claims was approaching so I bit the bullet and contacted a claims handler in July 2019. I figured that even with them taking their cut, any money recovered would be better than doing nothing and getting nothing.
I went with Allay, who came back with a possible 10 claims (9 loans and 1 credit card) all from Lloyds. They supplied almost no details about the date or amount of the loans, so was limited in what information I could provide to substantiate any claim of mis-selling, and as a result was hopeful of a few hundred to maybe a thousand or two, if I was even successful.
In October I received 2 letters from Lloyds, upholding 5 of my claims, including the one for the credit card.
After paying Allay their fee, I was left with £16,220!!!
Thanks to Martin and MoneySavingExpert for encouraging people to stick with it and take the chance to claim!

Odd that you should choose to sign up to this forum fully five months after your success simply to tell us this?

Are you, perhaps an employee of the Claim Company? If not, then you've paid £thousands for something you could have done for the price of a few stamps...

Just received a checque for a little over £5000 from Yorkshire building society, regarding the mortgage I had with them. So glad I made the effort to put in a claim 😀👏😀. Can’t believe I was hesitating, thinking nothing would come of it!
  • Hello, help needed for this one, after 23 year's of trying I have finally won my ppi back ( find out by the 25th February how much ) my question is this, in August 1999 I lost my job so I filled a ppi forms in and sent off with dole stamped on, how ever a few years later I found i had a ccj on my credit report and on top of that I had moorgroft on my case chasing me for the money b, bank where no help saying that my account was now closed, so after a lot of threatening letters and phone calls I started paying them for a long time ( year's ) my question is can I now claim my money back off moorgroft thanks
  • I also sent off a couple of claims prior to the deadline not expecting anything as I had no documentation and to my surprise, I got an offer of 10.5k. Happy days.
  • I filed two claims in mid August and got £2000 back from M&S in the autumn, and have just heard from RBS that they will be paying me £5,000 for a NatWest mastercard. I had to go to the ombudsman for this as I heard nothing from NatWest for four months. Following the ombudsman's intervention, I got a text from RBS in Feb saying they'd pay, but this didn't say the amount. I only found this out yesterday when I called them.  The advice on here truly helped.
