PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Another one upheld today, M&S Money, loan for 5k over 5 years refund £1827.60. Forms signed and posted at lunch time. So far that is

M&S Money, upheld
Alliance and Leicester Credit Card, upheld,
MBNA (oh) upheld
Barclaycard upheld
Dorothy Perkins Store Card rejected now with FOS
RBS CC rejected, have appealed to RBS
Santander (computer bought from First National) rejected appealed to Santander
M&S Credit Card still awaiting decision.

What a roller coaster these past few months have been. I know I have at least one old loan with Santander and one with Alliance and Leicester which had PPI but both date back to early 90's so can't do anything as they no longer have details, nor do I. Still vvvv happy with my lot.

I think from reading previous posts though they will use it to pay off some of your loan if you have defaulted. Not sure how accurate that is but am sure I have read that before on here somewhere.

I sent my acceptance form back on the 30th August. I would give them a call and see were they're at with your payment.

Has anyone had payment from HFC/Beneficial yet? I know payment can take up to 28 days, but has anyone had payment before that?

Received 2 cheques today total of £3,958-00 but I'm yet to receive any settlement letters.Is it just me or has anyone else been sent cheques and no settlement letters?.. Its the Halifax BTW.....

Must just add a thanks to this website for fighting for justice and its so nice to finally see the Banks being hit where it hurts.FWIW my case was soley down to me being self employed and mis-sold the umeployment benefit aspect of PPI.........

Hi pc007 when you said you sent your claim in early July do you mind me asking the date you sent it in? - i am still waiting for another barclays claim reply. I called about my complaint on the 5th July too with a response date of 25th October so seeing you have a response already gets my hopes up it will be soon!!

Just thinking back i have not been asked to fill in the FOS questionaire for this one - i have already done one for barclays on another loan - should i have been requested to do it for this one too? i just got a letter saying we will respond by 25th Oct

i have rang them last week and they said no update on it yet

Hi Guys, new to this so be gentle.

Recently posted Questionaire off to Norton Finance about a loan i had in 2002. Paid off early so was over 6 years ago. Quick rply from them. Knockback.
Grounds for knockback are that it was over 6 years ago and that they were not regulated by the FSA and not a member of the General Insurance Standards Council, therefore they state that the FOS will not consider my complaint as it falls outside of there Jurisdiction.
Anybody got advice on what to do next? Or shall i just let this one go? I have all the old paper work for the agreement and am kicking myself for not doing this earlier!

They received my acceptance on 17th August but I still havent got my cheques!!!! Its not fair that they dont pay out in order. Its been 7 weeks today and I was hoping that I might have received them by now!!! Looks like I have at least another week to wait and then the cheques have to clear - I started my claim the first week in March!!

I am also waiting on a cheque from Nat West - they said within 28 working days, they should have received the acceptance letter by at least 1st September so that should be arriving any day now too!!!

All this waiting is so frustrating. I rush home every night from work to see what post I have and then nothing!!!

when was your M&S money from...I have two with the Ombudsman from 1995 and 1999 that they are now taking to the insurance company?
