    Hi,

can anyone help with my enquiry above?

    Louise

    Hi Louise

If the broker were Welcome finance who sold you the loan, I understand these are currently being dealt with by the Financial compensation scheme (FSCS).
Have you made a start with this complaint?

The FSCS works a little differently to what I am aware of, so its worth checking on the site as well, but meanwhile as I am not the one for calculations, hopefully someone will be along soon to check this out for you, good luck x;)

  • I have browsed this forum for many years!!, and it has helped me to stay positive that one day I would finally get my money from these cowboys. I have had three loans with first plus over the years, the first apparently was underwritten by central capital (with FSO). I spoke to them at the end of June re PPI on the other two loans, and today finally have had my offer, I am ecstatic, we will be refunded almost 40K.:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j Would just like to say to all, these forums are amazing, and as are the people.:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T. Just got to wait six to eight weeks now !!
    Thanks aagain all

  • Hi
Im getting my complaint payed back but my card is still active.
The card balance has been achieved with both spending and the PPI premium adding up each month to create a grand total. If the PPI is being refunded to ourselves shouldnt the grand total of the card balance come down to show that it wasnt needed. If it doesnt then you are technically paying them back the refunded money.
    ei.
    you spend £100
they add £10 PPI + interest of say £5
    total bill £115

If they pay you back the £10 can they still present you with a bill for £115, shouldnt it show the refunded amount??

Is anyone following my train of thought here???

    I agree with you!

I would in this case write and argue about this, and request that you would prefer the refund to be refunded directly to you, because you have other urgent matters to deal with, (personal matters) which would be a help to you, and if they could as being a valued customer of the bank for a number of years - to discreetly consider refunding the money back to you.

No harm in trying if this applies to you.;)

Hi I think i know what you mean Craig,i have had an upheld amount of £4,800 ppi redress and was told that my Credit Card which is still active, would be reconstructed, altho my PPI was cancelled 2 years ago,This i thought meant that the amount they have now put into my current bank account, would be knocked of my credit card balance as well,as to me they may be putting it into another account for you,but the amount is still showing on my credit card that i received yesterday(this being the full amount with just my monthly payment knocked off),i cannot get my head around this, and i think this is what Craig means, altho they are giving you something back,it is still sitting on the bill that it came off, should this bill show a balance with the PPI and interest taken off and leave you with a lower balance than the redress people are receiving,or am i not seeing things right, cos the way i see it ,is if you had 3 x 10p and they owed you 10p back from that 30p,surely if they gave you the 10p back your main 3 x 10p should be showing 2 x 10p,not 3 x 10p,i think this is what you mean Craig, well i am thinking the same as you mate, why as my credit card not had my £4,800 or at least some of it knocked down.
    Any answers anyone.

I telephoned Lloyds TSB last Thursday and was told that a letter was sent to me with the ammount on for my loan PPI on 20 September and that I would get my refund within 5 weeks, I asked if this could be speeded up as because of my mothers operation in the heart hospital in London I will have to stay nearby,I was told all claims are delt with strictly in date order, I made my claim 5th May 2011, I have so far not received the promised letter or refund so I have come to the conclusion that the staff on the customer care line are just a bunch of liars telling us anything to get us off the phone lines.:mad::mad::eek::eek:
Hmm very strange,i made a complaint to LOYDS TSB ABOUT MY CLAIM,last week, only got my upheld letter two weeks ago,my money was paid into my account yesterday £4,800,so yes they are liars and bull **itters.
