I'm not sure if my case may just have broken some sort of record on here, but Northern Crock have offered payment already!!! They agreed I was mis sold and had fallen short of the high standard of service I had a right to expect!! Been paying it for 31 months and have paid £1,355 so I get that plus 8% back. Not bad for 20min on here and a couple of stamps!! Next job is to hit Egg with a SAR request and then see if I can get some money back from them as well!!!
Big thank you to everyone for their direct advice or just for posting on here.0 -

Not sure?? I had copies of paperwork sent to me that I had signed but the main point for my complaint was that they told me I couldn't have the loan without it!!0 -

:j I got my full offer from Halifax, I will be getting a total of £1660.87 back, which takes more than half off my outstanding loan with them. Thank you all for your help and advice :beer:0

Just got a letter to-day to say they were refunding me £3700 PPi payments going back to 2004. I used the medical reason (I have high Blood Pressure) and they never even asked for evidence (maybe to do with medical confidentiality)??? Despite trying to fob me off at first the Ombudsman got them to change their minds. Thanks Martin:money: -I am now going after them for my credit card PPi and my partner is on the case with Lloyds TSB.
Don't give up when you get the first knock back.0 -

Thank you broke.com, I wrote my first and only letter on 17th November, I then had a letter before Christmas to say I would a get reply in January. Then I got a letter a few days before it was the 8th week to say it was still being looked into and then a week after that they wrote to say that I would get a full refund on the PPI plus 8%, I then got a letter last week to say how much I would be getting and it appeared on my loan account today.0 -

Good luck with Egg - I've found them pretty difficult as I fall outwith the period whereby the FOS found them guilty of mis-selling  I'm being persistent though!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
After sending one letter to mbna and them taking the full 8 weeks, my hubbie has received over £7000 refund.!!:j
He applied for the card over the internet and ticked that he wanted the ppi, however when he signed the documentation he said that he did not want it!! They continued to charge him each month anyway!
It just goes to show that everyone should keep at it and make sure you check any documentation that you have.Nyks Interest Beater £29/£2600 -

Just to let you all know, I called HSBC regarding this and they told me that they take around 5 working days to credit the account after receiving the signed acceptance letter. i sent my acceptance letter on a thursday and received the money in my account by the following tuesday.0
