Thanks for the reply Amersall - I did sort of notice this so I would say this was correct in part but they are only refunding 2 years worth instead of 4. Can we pursue prior to 6 years or is it just up to the lender also what about the compound interest is that also what we are entitled to or just your luck - don't want to push it if im wrong!!

    thanks again
I am the wrong one to ask about "interest" compound or otherwise :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Someone who does know will help you with this.
As you have the paperwork for the earlier loan, send a copy of this in and ask them to look at this.
  • Well done to all those who have had claims upheld, and commiserations to those rejected.
I posted off some paperwork to the FOS last week with regard to a rejected Clydesdale Bank CC(as posted up many pages back),just waiting to hear from them-prepared to wait as long as it takes,I'm a patient man.
Got another claim awaiting decision from HBOS sometime in the next month or so,as has the missus.

Get back in touch and ask why the results are different on these cards, when the reasons were the same, ask how they can uphold one and not the other.

    Thanks amersall,
they've said it's because the one they've upheld was sold over the phone and the other was via the internet :o
  • Just had a bit of success myself thanks to this site

Made a reclaim for PPI from Capital One from a Credit card that i had paid off about a 6 months ago ...

I guestimated that i had paid approx £1830.65 in ppi payments over the duration of the credit card.

So put in a claim to CapOne on the 17th August, Just received a letter today saying that they will reimburse me in total (inc associated interest/statutory interest etc) £3468.57

Happy Days ..... Just waiting on BarclayCard now who have said they will respond by 10th October

Many thanks to everyone on this site that helped me to give me a kick up the backside and actually do something about it .. the rewards far outweigh the effort

Hi there i have a ppi claim in against clydesdale bank for a yorkshire bank c/c i have been waiting since the 18th of may although i sent the complaint in on the 26th of april , as yet i have had no reponse to say that they have even started to look at my claim , constant excuses that they are unindated , old card not in use , trawling through archives etc, if you would be kind enough to say what card you had and how long you waited and why they turned you down it would be much appreciated , there does nt appear to be many who have had cards with them so its hard to see what they are doing.
    Many thanks in advance dave
