  • Can I ask what you say in the emails you send to the ceos please?
  • Hi there. First time writer. I complained to the Halifax on the 18.05 this year, re ppi on five personal loans and a credit card agreement.
Today I received a letter UPHOLDING my complaint for 4 of the loans. But 1 loan complaint was rejected, (dated June 1998) and credit card was also rejected.

I have no paperwork for any of the loans so no idea of what to expect.
Although last loan in 2003 was for £10k over 4 years.I have sent acceptance form today. Can anyone advise how long they waited for breakdown and payment.

Congrats to all winners past and present and good fortune to others.

    Thanks Shona

    Hi there

In the past I have emailed the CEO's if I've not heard from the customer team, and/or the way my complaint have been dealt with, so if your not happy with something in regards of your case and lloyds, email the CEO but sent to the customer team at the same time, the CEO will not get back, but the customer team will realise the CEO have also received the email as well, and will normally deal with matters quicker and sometimes better.;)

I hope this may help as we have no idea!!
    LOAN 1 STARTED 21/02/2001

    Premiums paid for 2 months @ £19.34 = £38.68
    Feb 2001 to August 2011 is 10 years 6 months (126 months)
    £19.34 x 8%/12 x 126 = £16.25
    £19.34 x 8%/12 x 125 = £16.12

    Loan + Interest + Insurance + interest = £4951.68 total charged less rebate of £867.40 is £4084.28
£4000 was original loan and carried forward to next loan £84.28 were charges. Part of this will have been PPI. The insurance is 10% of total loan so can only assume that 10 % is ppi so assume ppi carried into next loan was £8.43
    £8.43 x 8%/12 x 124 = £6.97

    Loan 1 = £86.45

    LOAN 2 CONSOLIDATING LOAN 1 STARTED 06/04/2001

    Premiums paid for 2 months @ £33.33 = £66.66
    April 2001 to August 2011 is 10 years 4 months (124 months)
    £33.33 x 8%/12 x 124 = £27.55
    £33.33 x 8%/12 x 123= £27.33

    Loan + Interest + Insurance + interest = £9966.60 total charged less rebate of £2420.34 is £7546.26
£7377.96 was original loan and carried forward to next loan £168.30 were charges. Part of this will have been PPI. The insurance is 12% of total loan so can only assume that 10 % is ppi so assume ppi carried into next loan was £20.20
    £20.20 x 8%/12 x 122 = £16.43

    Loan 2 =£158.17

    LOAN 3 CONSOLIDATING LOAN 2 STARTED 11/06/2001

    PPI Party Pooper
just a very quick message to say I have received a reply from Egg about my credit card PPI, only sent it last week and got a cheque in the post today for just short of £300, I didn't have the card for very long (about 8 months) so I'm happy with the payout! Just waiting on 2 from Lloyds TSB (1 loan and 1 CC), Santander and Black Horse. Very glad I did this, was worth the price of a packet of envelopes and a stamp! Thank you MSE!! :o
You're so very special, I wish I was special

  • Wow Niggly -what an ace brain you have. A million thanks.
