Sorry! One other thing. Would it be besr to cancel the current PPI I have with the Natwest and MBNA loand before I send them claim letters?

Hi, I am going after the same companies and more and have been fobbed of with the same answers as you are getting, but one has paid back (littlewoods) as a gesture of good will of course. With the others I have just sent another letter to them asking the following;
# Who were you regulated by at the time the policy was taken out.
#Can I have copies of the paperwork proving that I was not mis-sold with telephone transcripts if possible( the onus is on them to prove that policy was not mis-sold)
#A list of all charges on the account.
#The name and address of their legal dept for future correspondence.
I finally reminded them of the misrepresentation act of 1967. They have not yet responded but I have not yet got a fob off letter after 7-10 days as before so they are either taking me serioiusly or ignoring me, i will let you know!!
Your lucky with Littlewoods they havent even replied to me dispite 2 reminders.
Great Universal have admitted in writing they have no record of ppi. (So how can they say it wasnt missold) Have sent a SAR to them.
Guess this is not going to be easy but I am in it for the long haul.0 -
Well I have regrouped and feeling bit more positive now, phoned FO this morning and the adjudicator that was dealing with my case has left the company, oh thank you for letting me know, anyway I now have to wait for a new adjudicator to be assigned to carry on the work, that alone will take another 2 weeks or so, oh what joy but at least something is being done, I will just have to wait and see, surely with so many mishaps something must go right in the end (fingers crossed)
Been following this site for a while now but this is first post so hope doing this right.Twinsmum after reading post contacted FO as in same position as you and had not heard anything.Recieved email today saying that Worstplus have asked for extension of one month to respond to FO assessment on claims made against them.Think this is FP stalling so have sent email again to FO to ask if one month from today or earlier date will not have reply until 10/04/08 as adjudicator not back in office but will update any information0 -

This is my first post but would like to let you know that after three months of nagging loans.co.uk finally have agreed to issue us a cheque!
Below is what they said to us about what they have done, not sure if its correct or not, would like to hear if anyone knows any different!
First Plus emailed loans.co.uk the figures on Thursday last week, this information is now with our accounts department. They will process the cheque and First Plus will reschdule your loan acordingly.
You will recieve a cheque for £1585.23 from Loans.co.uk for the over payments that you have made on your policy.
£5531.75 premium & £1852.02 interest paid to date will be refunded to your loan amount, reducing your loan amount and your monthly payments. First Plus will contact you with your new monthly payment and advise of your new outstanding loan balance shortly.
This refund process has been advised by the FSA and Financial Ombudsman service, as this process will put you back in the same position if you did not take the policy in the first place.0 -

just to say cant you request all the money back in a cheque?
because its your money isnt it?
I would look on daynurse and other first plus successes on this thread to see what has happened to them.

Go in to Barclays bank and ask them, my branch called them and magically i had a response within 6 days!0 -
Claimed back almost £4000 so far from HSBC for mis-sold PPI
£2083.00 + £242.00 8% interest from FirstPlus and lower monthly premiums:D Studio Cards paid off my account and gave me £125.00 in gift vouchers. £500.00 Barclays.0
