    If Mil have purchased the debt and if they knew what they were legally doing their first letter to the OP would conform to current Practice Directions. Giving seven days notice in what is probably intended to be a LBA don't cut it!

    Indeed. Would dearly like to see the letter in its entirety, I imagine there is mileage and entertainment to be had from it.

    @Bazster, aye pretty much mate.

    I've heard the site where I was at they are dropping CMPS and looking for someone else.

    CPMS say they've sold their interest in the debt and that ML collections are owed the outstanding balance.

    ML say they have purchased £100 (lucky sods). Debt purchased and LBA. 7 Days notice before court fees.

    Car Park Management Manchester cannot sell the debt as the debt doesn't exist until a court says that your daughter owes the money. She has not entered into a credit agreement nor is there any proof of a contract between her & Car Park Management Manchester .

    So the parking management company hadn't managed the car park very well then?

    This fits in with MiL's history which has the feel of barrel-scraping about it but then what else are you going to pick up at the bottom of a bottom-feeding business?

    Edit

    As an aside the MD of MiL is also the director of a cleaning company that, from the look of a LinkedIn page in his name would seem to be his principal business. The page shows that this person has experience working for MiL for 14 years, that is since 2001. Strange that, bearing in mind MiL only came into being in 2007 when the name of the original company, Marketing Initiatives (UK) Ltd, was changed to it. Just to round things off Marketing Initiatives (UK) Ltd was only formed in 2003 so quite what did that MD do for two years?

    So the experience is actually only 8 years - not the 14 claimed which really is a shame given that one would normally expect someone dealing with figures - like a debt collector - to be able to get the maths right.
    My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

    For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
