CPW/E2SAVE Orange OVP Deal? Watch out!

I aggree with you JSF, i thought it would be nice and simple exactly £15 for the first bill, but no

Oh well too late now! Should still be a good deal, btu i will be going back to PAYG at the end of the contract0 -
Orange also got my bill wrong, whereas my wife's phone did have the 50% discount. When I called Orange CS they told me that CPW had only told them about the deal on one of the phones and not the other, and that I should call CPW. I called CPW, and they said they'd contact Orange.
Last night, just after 9pm I got a text from Orange CS apologising in the delay in applying the 50% discount. They say this has now been applied and will run for 3 months.
Fair play to Orange - this was better than me having to chase everyone to see if it was all sorted or worrying and waiting a month until my next bill. It was also good to speak to someone in the UK when I called to cancel itemised billing and the Orange Trial. They were polite, understood what I wanted and did exactly what I wanted. A nice change from my hassles with Vodafone.
Cheers,

I don't know why the billing period has a part month at the beginning and end, but this is not confined to Orange or this deal, and has been like this for years, so the fact that the first bill is slightly more than a month simply is not a problem.
As most of the replies on the thread now say, it is very easy to sort out the problem of the £30 instead of £15 (or pro rata) without the huge earth-moving equipment referred to earlier.0 -
Hi,
I recieved mine 2 days ago (11 months free rental - 200 xnet mins) and after reading this thread was a tad concerned!
So, just called Orange, pleaded ignorance - wanted cutomer number to register online at Orange, and did I have any "extras" that e2save might have put on?
A very helpful chap has checked my account for me, told me I only have itemised billing (cancelled it) and nothing else. I enquired about the half price line rental - he admitted there had been some concerns lately with this particular company not passing on the correct information (all companies pass the buck!) but he did confirm I had half price line rental.
He was very nice, helpful and has sorted me out in minutes. If you have any concerns, call them - 150 from your Orange Mobile!0 -
Just be careful with calling 150 from your new mobile. Apparently as this is an OVP vodaphone I believe, it will cost you 12p a minute to call customer services with orange. The usual 12p per call on Orange does not apply to OVP customers.

surely this could at least be included in your 200 minutes !!!0

What's the customer service phone number for E2save ?. Orange have billed me £30 instead of the £15 reported, but no-one at E2 is responding to my emails.
Thanks0 -
is it correct that if u call 150 to check remaining mins and u do not speak to anyone just get the automated info . then this does not incur any costs?
this is what i was led to beleive.
or does it come out of your free mins.?Nice to save.0 -
yeah i think thats right if you only use the automated service its free, but to be honest i have rang 150 several times and spoke to an operator all of which have been very nice and helpful and checked my bill and so far there havent been any charges !!!!0

I have to say Orange has appaling customer service (no idea if its THE worst, fortunately i havent a 3 line).
