CPW/E2SAVE Orange OVP Deal? Watch out!

So ,andy88 ,you think management shouldn't be interested in their business? It's that mentality which results in crap service. In my day managers got their hands dirty and were better for it. They also didn't have a need to give themselves grand titles, you knew who they were and they were accessible.
Simple issue as far as I,m concerned. You do business with integrity and when you make a mistake you put your hands up and put it right.
A few simple facts on this to help you:-
1. Orange were still sending out double charged invoices days after (indeed it maybe as much as a week after) they knew of the problem;
2. when first contacted they vigorously denied any fault and claimed it was CPW/e2save's error. They then claimed 'only 1 or 2 customers affected'. It now appears some thousands are. Indeed they initially even denied the tariff information on their own site. As reported elsewhere here they are still charging for itemised despite their own T&C on equivalence;
3. if you accept their proposals they will actually make a profit from this incompetence...in seems that the chump who negotiated the deal with CPW may not have bothered to tell anyone at Orange. They now want the first £30 payment in month 1 rather than month 4....I,m sure all of us would like a 3 month free loan. And if you think your cashback won't be affected then try getting CPW/e2save to confirm, because it seems very odd for Orange to structure this 'refund' as they have. In most cases they have plenty of time to re-issue the first invoice correctly before the direct debit is taken. Much simpler and avoids any confusion over cashback.Sarah x0 -

Will be for a portion of a month (a week) and the whole month ahead (£15) - just the overlap of the billing period.0 -
well to be honest i think the fact that orange have acknowledged the problem is the most important thing and there shouldnt be any need to go any higher ! lets just wait and see what happens next and if it doesnt work out favourably then we can go higher, but going straight to the top shouldnt be ones first port of call0

kitty, I've already answered all the points in your boringly long post. Orange CS were unaware of this. OSPS CS contacted Orange dealer support and fixed it in less than 10 minutes from my call to them and called me back to say so. Orange CS then called me to confirm it too.
The cashback was unaffected as I have already said; either by change of billing date or account number (or even by the fact that the phone number was wrong at the start). You've chosen to ignore that I said this was more than 4 months ago.
I don't understand what you mean by Orange's 'proposals', irrelevant date changes, interest free loans, or the rest of it. The solution is extremely simple, but you appear to want to tell us it is a mountain when it is a molehill.
I suggest you follow your own advice and avoid attempting to incite further unethical harassment of Orange management and directors, such as unauthorised publication of email addresses. The company has set-out procedures for problems, and it is you that is refusing to follow them.Simple issue as far as I,m concerned. You do business with integrity and when you make a mistake you put your hands up and put it right.
There is much less confusion than you spuriously pretend.0 -
I have also been overcharged by orange/carphonewarehouse. Orange says it's not their fault and there is nothing they can do about it. Carphonewarehouse has agreed to refund the £15 overcharge for line rental in addition to the first cashback of £75. Let's wait and see. It is an absolute mess!0

I seem to be the only one with a £36 charge!
But i think i got mine sorted, shes refunded 50% of that to the next bill, and also 50% of the next bill (£30) will be refunded, (so no bill in june) and then 50% off the july bill. Seems to work out as it was supposed to :S
No bonus cash though

My wife and I both got one of these deals from e2save 2 days apart.
My wife's bill had the half price line rental credited to her bill, any no itemised billing, although she was singed up to every free trial going which she will cancell when it finishes.
My bill did not have the half price line rental, and had itemised billing, so I rang Orange. I actually found the the customer care rep very helpful and they only took a minute to that confirm my discount will be applied to the next 3 months bills and they cancelled my itemised billing.
Provided pepople do check their bills and contact Orange if there are any problems they should end up OK.0 -
in reality orange customer service is pretty good same with e2save its unfair to knock them from what appears to be a clerical error and the fact that they acknowledge the problem shows you that they are not trying to scam you etc.
so i think as long as you let them know about if there are any problems with your bill etc they will sort them out but emailing directors etc isnt going to help it anymore than going through the front door !!!.
on top of that those that are complainign about the 1.50 itemised billing stop being so tight, you got a £200 - £300 phone brand new for £60 with over 2400 minutes free 1.50 for the first month of itemised billing isnt going to hurt you !!0 -
I was so happy cos I must of been one of the last to get in on this offer but I guess I expected problems and dread my first bill.
The 6230 was too good an offer to miss but I will go back to PAYG as soon as the year is up since it is so much cheaper to get a good phone this way despite the hassel.
I hate contract phones as simple things get so complicated and this will only be my second contract, also with orange. I can assure you that customer service have been polite and great in sorting out my bills, apologise and put it right until next time, and they do make notes of when you call so you dont have to repeat things. You do need to keep a copy of the terms and conditions cos, bless them, I thought I had such a simple contract, no changes just 12 months and the phone was mine, but clearly nothing in life is ever simple
