            Mortgage balance updated
Job prospects are looking up now. There's a few rumblings so fingers crossed something comes up for me soon! I've put my redundency pay in my offset mortgage savings so it can stay there til I get a job and then I'll decide what to do with it!Mortgage balance Feb 2015 start of MFW Journey-£245316.06/Aim to be mortgage neutral 2022 — Target for May 2024 14 Year Target Balance MF50 = £89,535 — Mortgage Balance £106, 000—Target for May 2024! £89,535

Still no job but have applied for 1 with a 2/3 pay cut but I'd be there for the kids to drop and collect from school. They are growing up way to fast and I'm half thinking I can rejoin the rat race when they get older.
I'm enjoying volunteering and realising there is a reason they call working in certain high pressure environments selling your soul to the devil! The more I'm away from all the stress I feel healthier and everything. So watch this space!!!! Who knows what I'll be doing next!Mortgage balance Feb 2015 start of MFW Journey-£245316.06/Aim to be mortgage neutral 2022 — Target for May 2024 14 Year Target Balance MF50 = £89,535 — Mortgage Balance £106, 000—Target for May 2024! £89,535

Can't believe I woke in the night and had to check my mortgage balance!!!
I am very excited to say that I have knocked 10k off my mortgage balance!!!! :j:j This is a mix of redundancy payment and taking money from investment profit.
This reduces my monthly payment by £50 a month........obviously I'll be overpaying that.
I wouldn't have this every year but it's a great we boost this year!!!
Excited looking at my sig!!!:beer:Mortgage balance Feb 2015 start of MFW Journey-£245316.06/Aim to be mortgage neutral 2022 — Target for May 2024 14 Year Target Balance MF50 = £89,535 — Mortgage Balance £106, 000—Target for May 2024! £89,535

            Thanks AFK!!!
I've just signed in to update my sig again because I hadn't taken into account my normal mortgage payment coming off!!!
I really want to focus on breaking the 200k barrier but with no job this will be a lot more tricky!!!!! Where there's a will there's a way!
 2 month plan
 Asda bargains
Use up food in the freezer and cupboards
 No popping to shops
 Cut down on coffee trips
Walk with friends rather than coffee- get fit and save money
Get a job!!!!!! (That should be top of the list but I'm enjoying time with my boys way to much!)
I need to set some new targets!!! Watch this space!Mortgage balance Feb 2015 start of MFW Journey-£245316.06/Aim to be mortgage neutral 2022 — Target for May 2024 14 Year Target Balance MF50 = £89,535 — Mortgage Balance £106, 000—Target for May 2024! £89,535
