I cant believe they made you wait so long to tell you about the redundancy, I had to wait about threeish months, they made us all apply for our jobs again 'as the role had changed', so many people left they had to recruit again!!

Best of luck with your interview, a lady I spoke to who sits on interview panels said that its best to ask about flexibility in the interview as it shows you are thinking about actually being in the role and the people know what you want!

Fingers crossed for good news from the interview.

I'm currently waiting to hear more re redundancy or job mapping, it seems to take forever to hear anything.

Does your workplace do any grants for training/education with their redundancy packages?

Just updated my signature and I've broken the 225k barrier!

Also a very promising job in the pipeline!!! Fingers crossed it works out because if it does that means my redundancy package could go to good use rather than just being spent on living.

New but not new discovery. I've always looked at the discount section in Asda but by buying one thing there and chatting about redundency I find out that at 7pm in My local supermarket they mark everything down to ridiculously low prices. I got 4 salmon pastry parcels for £1. Salad for 20p and ham for 20p. Got a whole bag of stuff for £5! I think the best thing to do is buy stuff to go in the freezer.

I also am trying kids on various things that they haven't tried and it won't annoy me as much if they don't eat it.

Very exciting discovery but just have to remember what we've got in the freezer!!!

Re the salmon pasties, try complaining to Asda, they may give you a refund. It's worked for me in the past. M2m.

Oh how disappointing that they weren't nice!

I buy yellow stickered stuff when I can but it seems like the supermarkets near me are a bit more wise to it so only take off 20p or 30p. I generally buy veg (usually lasts longer or can be frozen/made into soups for work lunches) and good bits of meat/fish for freezing....I find it helps us eat more varied but without breaking the bank
