I always make a big salad and a big bowl of rice with peppers, mushrooms and sweetcorn.
Mini corn on the cob are only 99p for 8 and are lovely on a BBQ
Chicken Thighs and Drumsticks are cheap as are value sausages 99p for 20
Pitta Bread can be warmed through on the BBQ
Sardines are lovely and tasty
And I always have a cheap tub of ice cream and some cornets for the kidsBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

It is DD's communion on Sunday and we are planning on having a bbq/ buffet at home.
We are expecting 16 adults and 5 kids and the things we have bought so far are
12 pork sausages
8 beef sausages
3 boxes of drumsticks
1 box chicken legs
box of spicy chicken breasts from iceland
24 kebabs on skewers
10 quarter burgers
1 dessert platter
I have never done this kind of thing before and don't know how much food to do.
I was thinking of maybe a few sandwiches and cocktail sticks with cheee etc and maybe a chilli before the bbq is ready as we will all arrive back at my house at the same time.
Any other advice gratefully welcome.
Also have a case of magners and beer and a few bottles of wine and bacardi brezersI would like to be able to admire a man’s opinions as I would his dog - without being expected to take it home with me."

Sounds like you have lots already - Only thing that I can think of some salads? You can make a cold rice one or a green salad? Maybe a salsa?? Do you have any vegies coming - may need some veggie burgers??Some cold non-alcoholic for drivers? Hope you have a fab time & fingers crossed for the sunshine...

we really like doing lamb on a BBQ - butterfly a joint and put some shop bought marinade on - then you can cut into shreds/slices and let everyone help themselves. Tastes even better rare, so no-one will get food poisoning from it!0

Aldi here sell mini ice cream cornets and mini ice creams which are great for kids and adults.0

How about some dips, bread sticks, carrot sticks, celery, crisps and anything else dippy before hand. Can be prepared in advance, should keep people going untilt the BBQ is ready and its easier for you - have a good time.0
