A lot depends on your natural colour. If you are dark then regrowth will show more. You could try having a full head then alternate with a half head in between, every 8-10 weeks depending on how quickly your hair grows.0

I'm quite dark and the thought of spending £80 every 6 weeks is definitely putting me off the idea! :eek:0

I recently had a full head of highlights and it cost £75. I try to get mine done every 4-6 weeks. If I don't have any spare money I'll let it go to 8 weeks but definately no longer.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I have always coloured my hair myself and have learnt over the years to do roots first and then the length of hair to avoid colour build up in the ends of the hair. I have Dark Brown hair (with some grey at the roots) and recently applied a Dark Reddish Brown (Nice and Easy semi permanent). The colour on the length of my hair is nice but my roots are too light. Any tips?0

try one of those swim shampoos you use after being in the pool to get rid of the chlorine. They really strip your hair but at the same time boost the volume of your hair.Vampires Rock :eek:0

its a pain, but before putting a totally new colour on, you should always do your roots the same colour as the rest of your hair 1st
for example, my mate's ginger, she dyes her hair black, decided she wanted it plum and put it on when her roots needed doing. It's kinda obvious what happened....her roots went bright plum, while the rest was a nice darker shade, she should have dyed her roots black 1st THEN applied the colour
it is a pain the the butt, but you can get cheap hair dyes for like £2 that you could just do your roots with before putting another colour on top
hope this helps?I'm So Glam, I Pee Glitter0 -

Littleali21 .......Thanks for the tip I will try that next time. It sure makes sense to do my roots with my base colour. Should have worked that out the first time. Ah well....0

Marshallka......It is quite dark and with a hint of red which looks a little redder after a couple of washes. Unfortunately for me it only lasts barely 4 weeks. I like the colour mostly the 2 weeks inbetween colouring. It has a lovely conditioner. Good luck and I hope you get the results you are looking for.0
