Hi!
Just been reading through your diary, well done on your progress so far! You seem to be making good progress with your debts and saving for your holiday! I'm focussing all my efforts on debt for now, figured it would be a tough 8 months, but so worth it afterwards. My contract runs until March 2016 so due to the uncertainty thought it'd be wise to concentrate on debts. Its going to be fun!...?
I'm going to have a look at top cash back, seems you get a decent amount from using it? What do you tend to purchase using the website?

Hi, I don't blame you, you are definitely doing the sensible thing focusing on the debt first. The only reason I am not is because my children are 12 and 10 and I am fearful of not enjoying the precious time I have left of them as children. When they are adults they may not want to enjoy doing stuff as a family! The other thing is my debt is all on 0% so I don't feel like it's too stupid. My goal though is to pay for my holiday through unearned income so my debt repayment is not affected.
My cash back has come through house insurance (£92), my holiday booking (£152), mobile phone contract (£65) and other small purchases.
Hope that helps and good luck x[STRIKE]Tesco 1 - £200[/STRIKE]. Tesco 2 - [STRIKE]£4350[/STRIKE]. £0 Barclaycard 1 - [STRIKE]£4375[/STRIKE]. £2600 Barclaycard 2 - [STRIKE]£7356[/STRIKE] £6272

Hey
Yeah I think what you're doing is great, I've only just started my debt free journey after having a two week holiday to Mexico in June so I don't blame you! It's good you can save additional money to pay for yours - I just went into more debt oops! Definitely inspiring, as shows if your careful and budget you can still enjoy yourself. I think I'm seeing it as a 'short term' thing to pay off mine, even thought it will probably take about a year in total - but everyday I look at my timehop and think - wow that was a year ago?! So surely it will go quickly... I hope!
I've had a look and signed up, seems I'd have to make my original purchase for things such as house insurance, so I'm going to have a look at my renewal dates then try arrange everything through cashback.
P.s subscribed to your diary :-)

Had some eBay success, sold a few outgrown kids clothes and bits. Have withdrawn £32.05 from it so I've got enough to cover the fees when they come out. Also it makes my holiday pot a nice even £655 :j . Given me the impetus to do some more de cluttering.

Morning
That's great news about the ebay success. I remember you saying you weren't a huge fan of it. It's a weird old set up isn't it as sometimes I've sold everything I've put on within minutes then other times nothing at all.
Nice to see the holiday pot creeping up too. You'll be there before you know it. Have a good weekendxx

It's been a quiet week with regards to making extra money. I have been busy with work and getting kids back to school and trying to regain order to the house that has been neglected for 7 weeks!! However, I have still been very good with doing the little mse things that make all the difference with the debt repaying - we've taken lunch to work all week, not really spent much, was going to go out for breakfast as a treat this morning but decided to stay in and play cafes instead! The kids loved it, one making the coffee, one helping with cooking and then serving out a lovely cooked breakfast. It was nice. dd1 has a friend over for the day and we need to buy a few basic supplies for dd2 week away next week (£5 should do it). Then need to think of a fun evening meal for us - last Saturday we made 'home made' fish and chips with proper refined chips lol! Might try a homemade Chinese or pizza tonight maybe. Anyway, it will be low spends but good family time that's the main thing[STRIKE]Tesco 1 - £200[/STRIKE].
