Happy Birthsday bindi (and I meant to post to you beanielou yesterday but 'life got in the way') Us August birthday girls are coming out of the closet thick and fast: it's my turn on Thursday (not to supply photos :eek: , but to have a birthday:D ). Hopng to go up to London for the day. I need this treat but health is a bit fragile this week so having to take a day at a time. Also woke with a migraine this morning so feeling a bit pale and wan at the mo, tho pain has finally gone, phew. However, as a result, not going to WI tonight, so could you put me down for a maintain please Lois.xx

    Welcome back Suggs :T (and great new piccy). Sorry you had some tough times on the holiday. I know you are only trying to sneak in by the back door to our exclusive 'we ain't having a holiday this year' club but it won't quite wash as I see you & Mrs Suggs are getting away by yourselves later in the year. Really glad you are though - you deserve it. Well done for getting straight back to the gym.

    India is a really big deal as it's the first chance I've had to go back since I had to give up leading expeditions 3 years ago. Once I get on that plane I'll be jumping up and down with excitement I'm sure! And even better, I'm going with my soulmate this time - how awesome is that?!

    Really glad you liked the morrocan stew Ajax. And you are right about the clever people at SW. I'd love to understand the science of how you can eat so much on their plan and still lose.

    Not quite up to full responses to everyone, but lovely to have you back to grannynise (go once and get the book:D ) and commisserations dragon: medication is such a spanner in the works I know. But eating enough is so important. How about keeping a food diary and checking each evening what you've had today and what you plan to have tommorow to retrain yourself into better habbits?

    Ajax - Word's can't express how I feel about you losing 5lbs this week and being disappointed - so... here goes.

    What you need to understand is that if you were female it would take at least 2 weeks worth of being good to get rid of the weight from your big weekend...Be grateful for small mercies (and that's no reflection on your male parts....

    To have only gained 1lb (or thereabouts) is excellent :T The main thing is that you are so positive despite all the problems that you have :j and keep those shorts handy; to be able to get into clothes that were once too small is a better incentive than any scales :D .

    Hi everyone, wondering if you can help me? I'm trying to weigh myself with electronic scales and I get different weights depending on where I am in the house. Should I take the heaviest weight? Thanks.

    the best way to get an accurate record of weightloss is to weigh yourself at the same time once a week (on the same day) in the same place wearing the same clothes. The reason why you are only supposed to weigh weekly is because your weight can fluctuate from day to day and it takes 7 days for a loss/gain to show.

    The best idea is to weigh yourself first thing in the morning (after you've been to the loo) preferably in your birthday suit emba0002.gifso then you can't blame your jeans/shoes/etc. That's your true weight.

    As for where - since you're weighing in the nuddy - probably upstairs in the bathroom if it's a tiled or vinyl floor.(spares any blushes.) or in your bedroom if you have a laminated or wooden floor
