Must be your influences ... stopped for a coffee break in M&S this morning with daughter and grandaughter. They shared a big chocolate cookie.
I had a fruit salad! This is previously unheard of in the annals of grannynise and her close relationship with food.
And actually I think DD wished she'd chosen the same as it was a very nice, albeit pricey, fruit salad.
And I've bought a calorie book. All I have to do now is open it occasionally and I've cracked it, right?

:rotfl: :rotfl: Well done granny I treated myself to a lot of pricey food to help me lose my weight, it made me feel that I was still having a treat but in a different way and it worked for me :j DD has been trying to copy what I'm eating this week as she needs to lose about 7lbs, but she failed when a piece of chocolate cake forced itself into her hand and then into her mouth (or so she said :D )

I'm aiming for two syn free days this weekend! Wish me luck! Not feeling like I've done that well this week as I'm all bloated and feel fatter than ever! :( Will be gutted if I don't lose in my first week!

Good luck with trying to keep the weekend syn free. The weekend is always the hardest for me. My social life has picked up a notch since I started SW so now there is lots of temptation, BBQ's and alcohol!!!

I switched from pints to G&Ts in an effort to be good as the g&t was always one of my least favourite drinks and I'd have to drink it slow...unfortunately I now really really like them :p so no respite there!

Just thought I'd recommend a mini-milk ice lolly as a low syn treat just in case it gets a bit much by sunday night; I'm sure you'll have a lot more willpower than me though and will manage just fine :D

Well done Suggs. An amazing achievement. Does that mean you are at goal weight now?

Thanks serendisglair. i'm not known for my willpower, but I would just feel sooo bad if I pigged out at the weekend and put on in my first weigh-in! At least I know there was nothing else I could do if I put on and had syn free days. Cooking Quorn chilli tonight so that should see me through. Depends if i go to my boyfs at the weekend - trying to make excuses as I usually drink lots of wine and his cooking isn't always SW friendly!

Thanks efrieze, yes I am at goal weight now. I had changed it down a couple of times and yes to be honest dropping under 18stone and hitting 150lb lost looks very tempting, but to be honest I am thinking of MrsSuggs and the family as well, a real trooper and supporter who has changed cooking methods and helped and encourged me along the way. It has also been over 18 months on my journey so it would be nice to see if I can master the skill of mainting the weightloss as well. Finally and slightly selfish of me, at my ripe old age (39) front row is probably the only position I can play, to quote a friend I bumped into last week "lose anymore weight and your be no good to anyone' He meant it in the rugby sense of the world.
