Pay day has arrived that seemed a very long month. My pay rise hasn’t gone on yet probably next month. However,I have recieved the teachers 3.5 percent pay rise back dated for 2 months ,so that is good and was an extra £60
I have paid £150 to Natwest, 100 to Barclays and 950 to Halifax.
I have also found out that my daughter is going to see her Grandma in the USA with her Dad for Christmas. She will have a great time but I feel a little sad about it. My usual response would be to plan a holiday but I won’t.0 -
Half term is expensive but I am determined this time not to use credit cards. I have spent £20 on a Halloween afternoon tea for my dd and her friend.
We have also been invited to a fireworks party tomorrow so I have spent £35 on fireworks. All from the grocery budget.
I think I may need to add an entertainment allowance as its too easy to use the credit card.
Only other big costs are a night out with my friends and my Dads birthday meal at the end of the month. 6 adults and three kids will go for a meal. It will be me that pays. So I need to save a bit for this.
Not spending will help with the diet. Starting insanity max 30 tomorrow in my attempt to lose weigh before Christmas.
My eating is really like my spending. It is scary.0 -
Paid off the Halifax card yesterday. So that’s totally clear.
So I am down to two cards now. Natwest and Barclays.
My car is due a MOT and service and it’s Christmas. So the clearing of cards will be stalled until January.
Trying to do a frugal Christmas though. No adult presents. So I just have my daughter, 2 nephews, and my daughters two sisters to buy for.
Possibly oh too. This is my first ever Christmas without my daughter as she is going to America to see her Grandma. So hopefully it will be a chilled and quiet one.0 -
£1280 off the debt this month.
Was a tough January. However, I have lost a stone in weight.0
