nobody asked me if I want to vote for them! I took DS on the way to school and he put my crosses on for me
Just made some oat muffins and cleaned my front door while they were cooking. I've also replaced my 8-bulb light fitting with new LED bulbs. And took off the glass shades and gave them a wash. They are still drying. Stripped 2 beds, mine and DDs, and remade mine.
Going to collect DS soon and find out if he got the book I left in the office - show and tell, we forgot to take it first thing - he was so disappointed that his teacher said I could bring it if I had time.
Spent some money on tat in home bargains then mum visited. And that's the day gone, lol.
Oh, had 3 missed calls and 4 texts in half an hour last night, lol
Garden man called with quote for paving, hurrah. Mum called wanting to know where I was, and the hospital called to move my appointment (again). And the beavers leader text about my DBS. Lots going on but moving forward IYSWIM.
I'm having a party in 8wks for my birthday (it's a milestone one) just at home but I guess still plenty to plan. So I'll go message some people with the date I think...Bossymoo

DH had a proper look at the dog's paw last night by me tickling his belly so he'd stay on his back! It seems ok and he has been for a short walk this morning and has done some running about. He is still favouring that leg sometimes but not all the time so we're going to see how he is later after he's rested it again today and if he's still favouring it this evening we'll take him the vets. The cut itself though looks fine and clean. Thanks for asking Dusty and for you as well LW.Thoughtful Thursday

Does this count as me actually covering something off today's list?:D
We'll be trundling down to the polling station as soon as Mr LW gets in from work - he'll plonk me in the wheelchair and we'll go and do our civic duty, then come home and have our dins.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Mr O&O bribed me this week, promised me something if I got the house clean and tidy and sent him photos to prove it. It's surprising how hard you can work when you want something badly enough:D
I got what I was promised:D
Still got things to do but I'm happy so far

Did a little bit in the garden
Visited neighbour who has had an op on her foot
made some rhubarb and coconut muffins
Oh and received an email to say they want to offer me the job!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
- AGM paperwork finished and emailed or posted to members
- several forms updated
- 3 other emails sent
- 5 phonecalls dealt with
- first of two deliveries accepted - all very good items for silly prices :money: and a perfect fit
- chicken in oven for tea
- bit of shopping done
- votes cast - they said they'd been busy all day, with a much better turnout than usual, which is all good for democracy
Just time for a cuppa and a few more odd jobs before tea and choir practice this evening. It will be followed by cheese and wine with the visiting choir who are singing with us on Saturday. I rarely eat cheese or bread / crackers now, but will graze the garnishes, and I don't drink wine if I'm driving myself home, but I will stay and chat if I've got any voice left.
Bad news for my 88yo brother yesterday: he has to go back into hospital from rehab today for further tests and a scan. He fell out of an armchair when in hospital before and had a huge bump on his head - presumably the authorities are now attempting to cover their own backs. Or am I becoming cynical?
Must go and prepare the veg... Will catch up again before bedtime.

Well done dusty. Have pottered gently. No idea where OH and DS1 are as they were supposed to be home about 45 minutes ago. DS2 and I have eaten, not sure my hm potato wedges will be much good now but the other two will just have to make the best of it.0
