Whole house been hoovered, cake made and mostly eaten, prep for essay started, work was better today, done some science with kids and had chippy tea. Tommorow I'll vote and work on essay and finalise tesco order, don't know what's for lunch or tea for row yet tbh
Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T
  • Evening all,

Nothing done all day as been to work, picked kids up from school, shouted at them a lot, took them to swimming lessons, made tea, got them to bed.

But then have had crazy hour and a half:

WM, DW, 15 min iron, swept and mopped kitchen floor, swished bog and sink. Also a couple more things got rid of from lists. Frizzle great tip, I've deleted the level headings, it looks much shorter!

As for cleaning behind and under the fridge, it is way to heavy to move, I just do as far as the Hoover/mop reaches. It looks a bit grotty if you lay on the floor and look right under it, but if a visitor did that I would think them bonkers.

Bank Holiday Bonanza! - a bit of everything, or a bit of a rest!

HH in the garden, any mossy or weedy bits you can grab as you wander round?

Terrific Tuesday - Living Room, Hallway & Stairs

    Vaccuum your floors
Dust any electricals - take care
    Wipe the fireplace
Dust any picture frames / wall art
Check any summer supplies you need, antihistamines, sunscreen, do the kiddies hats still fit and do you know where the sunglasses are (I know, I'm hopeful )
Do a little job you've been putting off)

Wicked Wednesday - Kitchen & Dining Room

Dust and deweb, get at those corners and skirtings
Wipe your small appliances and underneath them
Wipe down cupboard and drawer fronts - don't forget your kick boards!
Wipe the fridge - inside and out
    Clean a window
Clean your hob - and your oven too if you feel like it! (Does anyone ever feel like it?)
Run your dishwasher and / or washing machine on a hot, clean cycle and sort those filters
Pick out a new recipe to try in the next week or so
Check over your calendar - any birthdays or important events coming up?
    HHDD - half-hour day-dream

    Cool! X

Nothing else done off the list tonight.
Loaded dw, emptied wm onto an Airer and decluttered a run. Hubby ran the Hoover over the living room while I was out. So just the stairs to do from Tuesday's list. I will post my list again in the morning with some added extrS!!

The week is rushing by, and I don't think I have a great deal to show for it. I had planned to be super efficient this morning as I wasn't due at uni till 2; however I had a really bad night for some reason so getting up was sloooooow.
    *DW unloaded.
*I load washing done and hung out in howling gale 5 mins before a downpour.
*Greenhouse and garden checked for debris following gale; part of neighbour's shed roofing felt was in garden, some hanging in a tree, and a plank had landed on my broad beans. At least our sun room is still firmly attached to the decking and tied onto a tree for good measure.
    *Non-machine washing up done.
*Some clothes put away in bedroom.
*Caught up with some delivery surveys.
*Caught up with week 2 of my course. Week 3 started Monday but I have done a little bit.
*Spent too long surfing on internet for potential bike holiday to Scotland.
*Am now definitely going on bike (motor) to France with my brother in June for midsummer so caught up with some plans on the phone.
*Contacted potential reference-givers for the job I'm in the process of tendering for. Tender requires copies of "your company's audited accounts for the last 2 years". Huh? I do have a company name and I do proper tax returns - does that count as audited? I don't need an accountant or anything as there's only me......any advice anyone? I've already posted "correspondence" query about references on the tender site as they want details of 3 other companies I have provided the service for. Huh again - I carry out work for individuals, who may not care to discuss their assessments. Oh well it's a learning curve.

    Tomorrow:
    - more of my course
    - just 2hrs teaching
    - survey house for worst areas. Think vacuum all round and put any 'wandering' items back in their homes would be a good start
    - get to grips with job/tender/application documentation.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Hiya everyone and a warm welcome :hello:

Dusty - sounds like your interview went well

Thanks for all the replies re behind/under the fridge and freezer. I just worry a bit about the fact that apparently if the pipe-thingies at the back get too dusty they can cause a fire. I do them twice a year so hope that's enough then.

If it's gone I've done it or don't have one :D

    Morning all

JJ how is the mutt's paw?

Elastic has your DS tried the FODMAP diet?

White wash sorted, stained item just soaking in van1sh then I'll put that on.

Off to yoga this morning then I'll walk to the polling station with DS2.

Should pop and see my mother later and I have a few things to return to shops in her town so I'll do that all together

Flying for me will be the LR, not too messy but needs a good hoover and dust.
