Well done Dusty that's great news (assuming you liked the place and want the job; if you don't, it's still confidence-building that they want you). Does that mean we can be workmates and sneak out for coffee? Or you can kondo my bag.............Talking of which, you seem to have been kondo-ing with a passion; when do we see photos?
My day has not gone at all as planned. Was scaringly awoken at 5.15am by MIL phoning to say she wouldn't be going to her eye appointment this evening as she "wasn't walking too well". Mr N spoke to her and she had no idea what time it was and clearly sounded unwell, so we went round. She is a very private person and hates to make what she considers to be a fuss, so getting information out of her was hard. Mr N spoke at length to a nurse from 111 having ruled out 999. To cut a long story short, advice was to ring GP as soon as it opened at 8am and request a home visit. We went home to pick up Mr N's van so we were independent, then he stayed with her till after doc had been at 11.30. She thinks it is/was a viral infection causing high fever, hallucinations, unsteadiness - says she has seen several patients with it recently. I went to work till 2 then called in on my way home so Mr N could go to work. Thankfully she has improved and we did manage to keep the eye appt which was such a relief as she's been waiting ages for a cataract to be "ready", and now has the go-ahead for the op.
So, my list for today originally said:
- more of my course I did a small amount
- [STRIKE]just 2hrs teaching[/STRIKE]
- survey house for worst areas. Think vacuum all round and put any 'wandering' items back in their homes would be a good start I did put a few things away, and put 1 load in WM then forgot to hang it out.
- get to grips with job/tender/application documentation. The query I sent yesterday has been answered to my satisfaction. Both private individuals I asked for a reference have said yes, be glad to.
After the hospital we all went to Saimsb0bs.
I did manage to do a bit in the garden, planted out some reduced carnations I'd bought; found some slugs on my mange tout peas, planted out some borlotti beans.
Better luck tomorrow I hope as I'm not working.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Done a couple of hours ironing tonight. Just a few things left in the basket which I will aim to do tomorrow!
Also did 4 loads of washing in the end! NeRly all ironed or put away. Just waiting for the rest to dry. Also deleted 1000 emails off my phone tonight!
My bedroom still looks like a tip and the bathrooms must be done tomorrow. Apart from that the house is not looking too bad.

First things first, sinks and toilets please!
Clear and clean the floors
Clean the bath / shower

Morning all
Pigpen it seems you will have woken up to an entirely different political world to the one you went to bed in!
I didn't see any results last night I was engrossed in a book, but I've got the TV on this morning
Hope everyone is well, hugs good wishes and posi vibes to all who need them.
Weather is looking good so far, I've got a busy day, hair appt this morning to declutter the roots, then work, home for food and to feed DH then back to work. Shortly after that it will be wine o'clock, I've got some more knitting to do and plan to do some flying over the weekend to keep the place tidy. Would like to fit some kondoing in as well.SPC~12 ot 124

Stayed up until 3:30 so a bit jaded this morning. Really surprised by how inaccurate the polls were.
DS3 away to school
DS1 in the shower trying to wake up (he was up with me)
I have the dentist and hygenist this morning in the next town up so will aim to snooze then. Also some returns to do in that town and will see about popping in to visit Mum.
Have my gardening job to do today as well, will need lots of tea and chocolate to keep me going.
DW on, I'll get the WM on and see if a shower can revive me.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

DGD has just arrived to stay with us until early afternoon, so I shall be doing things with her (baking, preparing picnic lunch) and then we're taking her out.
Paperwork this afternoon, and another choir practice this evening.
Thanks for all good wishes for my brother.
Catch up later - (((hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed x0 -

No sadly it isn't any better than the one I went to bed in.. I'm not naïve enough to think the first 3 results are representative of the whole, there was just some hope before I went to bed, now there is none. However, I woke up to an absolute disgusting shambles in which thousands of people are going to be starved and frozen and abused to death.. The sick, the disabled, the poor are all being put to death.. who they think will be doing the 'menial' hands on jobs to keep the disgusting rich people in their position is anybody's guess.. maybe they think it is magic that does that work.
Today is the first day I have ever been absolutely terrified for the future of my country and my children and the shame I feel at being part of this culture of hate which they are spinning actually makes me feel physically sick.
We may actually be homeless and at least 3 of my children need long term medication so may actually not be alive in 3 years with no NHS. Their education will be substandard if they do live.
Utterly ashamed to be living here.
I tend to get a bit silly and giggly when I'm tired.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
