    Hellooo!

I have found my cleaning mojo, I don't know where it has been or how long it's back for but I intend to make the most of it. I actually think, it's because I'm typing on here! And having to justify my actions etc. It helps that the sun is shining today, that I got lots of sleep and the littlies seem to be behaving themselves, as they also got enough sleep!!!

Ok so far today, I have:
    bleached the upstairs toilets
    stripped my bed
tidied my room, and got rid of all toys and biscuit crumbs from my bed!!
    tidied Roo's bedroom
    Tidied the ensuite
    done 2 loads of washing
hung 2 loads of washing on the line
    given littlies breakfast
taken the mountain of clothes off of the radiators and sorted into piles of who's is what, ready to hang up in a quiet moment!
researched veg box scheme and decided will start next week as have so much fruit in, wouldn't be cost effective to waste food!

I've opened the windows upstairs and opened the curtains as wide as they will go and it really makes a difference, the fresh air coming in and extra light, brightened me up massively.

Not sure if I mentioned at the beginning, will go back and edit my post, but I'm also half way through an OU degree in english lit, which I started forever ago, which has to be finished by 2017, so I also have that to contend with. Oh and I've just started toilet training May, gosh this is a task and a half.

anwyay onwards and upwards with the housework, :)

Ok, I have done some of my list, I think I am on track to get most of it done by the end of today. Am actually having a sit down outside but am looking into food and menu planning etc. Roo has just woken up and I think May is on the move! Best think about lunch I guess, gosh I have only eaten a banana all morning, and that was ten minutes ago, haven't even thought about food!! Crikey thats a first!

Well done with what you have achieved so far. I have been at work this morning and now need to go and do a small shop. Need more coffee!!!

I don't envy you the toilet training. Youngest tiddleypops has no interest in it whatsoever. Came home to find him running around in just his nappy. DH had only been awake for an hour so eldest boy had been looking after him - at least he knows how to change a nappy.

Did you weigh yourself? I have lost a bit more - now 7lbs loss total. So hope it keeps off this time. Did not have any breakfast before rushing off to work but have eaten a curry pie for lunch. I have no idea why, it is not something I would ever eat but DH and eldest boy are forever eating scotch pies which I can't stand so today I thought I would try a curry one rather than the same old sandwich or sausage roll. It was ok but I won't bother again. :rotfl:

Hey scottishmummy, bless you, you do seem to work hard!

Oooh curry pie, actually sounds like my sort of thing!!!

Yes i weighed myself, I weigh as I expected, so I'm hoping to add a loss next week.Well done on your losses!!! half a stone is loads :T:j

I have put my bread maker on ready to make a wholemeal loaf, have only used it twice for normal loaves so we will see how I get on!!!

Been doing lots of research into food! Very interesting what I've found!

Right off out into the garden to plant OH's Bleeping seeds!!!!

    speak soon xx

    Hi there
I don't envy you with the toddlers you have your hands full.

just a few suggestions ive thought of.

don't allow food in bedrooms or upstairs, so no crumbs

maybe pay for local person to come in for an hour for three days of the week, to just tidy/clean whatever you wish for that day. maybe something that you know you wont get round to.

maybe order a small skip to get rid of stuff on driveway and anything else that can go in the house, and garden, that way there is only so far that you need to carry stuff and can do so much in a day, can you have a skip for the week perhaps and do an hour a day.

get freecyclers to come and collect wood sand and anything else.

plan a time to do your ou course,

give up the wine :( it will make you feel better.

is there any family that could babysit for an hour or two.

    Thanks bobarella :)

Oh wonderful advice, thank you starkey, am definitely going to follow some of it! definitely no food in bedrooms as of tomorrow. We did start going downstairs early so that bedrooms weren't trashed, but have been lazy the last few weeks, so need to start that again.

have thought about a skip, but just can't afford one. But I'm not doing too badly, and the bin is always filled up on bin day. I am definitely going in to getting just a little bit of help so that I don't have to worry so much about trying to do everything all at once.

Have had a really good day today stuff wise. Although I haven't done everything on my list, or done my exercise (although this is due to being absolutely shattered, as have not stopped all day, and have done lots of gardening and bending and stretching hanging and unhanging 5 loads of washing.)

    So today I have.

    1. made bread.
    2. made orange juice - first time I'e done this and it was nice! had some rather squishy clementines to use up.
    3. made oat milk, thought id give it a go, really not bad actually.
    4. cleaned the kitchen sinks
    5.washed up several times!
    6. unloaded and reloaded DW
7 done 5 loads of washing
8 hung washing out and brought back in.
    9. stripped all bed and remade with washing from line :)
    10. cleaned out the washing machine drawer, this was absolutely rank!
    11. S&S downstairs loo
    12.bleached all loos
    13. sorted washing into who's who piles
    14. planted, spinach, radish, spring onion, salad leaves, broad beans, peas and rocket. Only in pots but its a start.
    15 sorted through seeds
    16. made a picnic for babies outside
    17. made home made sweet potato chips, which I've never done before!
    18. hoovered through upstairs.
19 tidied up both toddler rooms and mine!
20 sorted nursery uniform for tomorrow.
    21. sorted masses of recycling
    22. put bunting back up
    23. picked up all toys from kitchen/dining floor
    24. tidied up about 10 pairs of shoes!! - May loves finding them and walking around the house in them!

I'm sure theres more but I can't remember everything. I've felt a lot less stressed because I was just concentrating on cleaning and day to day stuff rather than on sorting a room. But consequently, I managed to do all of the washing, which had built up, and plant some things in the garden which I have been meaning to do for weeks!

So I am actually quite pleased with myself :) I haven't stopped though and am absolutely shattered. have just had a bath and am in my nice clean bed with a cuppa.

I've learnt a few things today, and have thought ahead with a lot of things. for instance. I made sure I washed my bedding first thing so that it had time to dry, so that I wouldn't have to fold it all up and put it away, it could just go straight back on the bed. And tried to do one wash straight after another, to make sure it would dry by tonight and to make use of the solar energy as it was such a nice day.

I took some advice from another thread and realised I hadn't used my bread maker for a really long time, and in my quest to feed my family better things and to save money, it would be a good idea to make some, as I already have the ingredients. So that was on whilst i was doing other things. I was careful to fold up the clothes that would normally need ironing, so that they wouldn't. I jumped in the babies bath water after they had gone to bed, with just a bit of topped up hot water. As I was pretty sure there wouldn't have been enough hot water for another one, and I didn't want to put it on as the solar panels will heat it in the day. I also ran in, and spent literally 2 minutes, chopping some sweet potatoes then shoving them in the Actifry for 30 mins, and let the sausages defrost and cook under the grill which gave me enough time to finish planting a couple of bits and get the babies in and cleaned up for dinner.

I've also been looking into food etc. And I'd set myself a target to only spend £25 this week, but to be honest, i have soooo much food in, I don't think I even need to spend that, I just need to think about things a bit more, and be a bit more imaginative.

Littlies have been driving me a bit mad today. By 4pm May didn't know what she did or didn't want and was just shouting, it turns out she was super tired!! Really just wanted to put her straight to bed, but she needed dinner and a bath, so had to fight her the whole way through that. I wouldn't have worried so much about either, if she hadn't eaten much lunch or the fact that she was completely black from playing in the mud, and I'd just changed her bed!!

Right well, I need to write a meal plan and a very small, hopefully organic, shopping list for tomorrow.

Wow I am in awe. The amount you've got done today with 2 under 3s in the house is epic. I mean it in the kindest way possible but don't do too much, as you may end of exhausting yourself and then going to square one. I'm just thinking of your health and energy levels too..be kind to yourself. But also wow!
