That khatmandu place is actually very cheap and looks beautiful and clean, so you had to share with the family already there, instead of having the place to yourself?
Have a read of this Trip Report I posted on TA as Bill_Hanben, after our trip to Nepal last year...

Masterpoo might like a read too, as she likes Trip Reports.:)0 -
My worst holiday was at The Golden Orange 2 apartments, Turkey. What a skanky old hole that was, & staff weren't the best!
Every other holiday has been brilliant, I couldn't choose really.0 -
Sahara beach in Tunisia was our worse after nan fell really ill with dysentery, thomsons were as much use as a chocolate teapot and it was a really disappointing holiday. In fact the most helpful people there were the cleaners who tried to help us as best as they could with advice:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

Same here. Never been to a country which I hated.
The only time I have been to Benidorm was for a day trip and I ended up sleeping on the beach as I had missed the last train back to Alicante.0 -
Worst hotel would be the Fragrance Sapphire in Singapore. Here are a couple of quotes from my trip advisor review.
"The first thing you will notice is the fragrance of the hotel. It's not necessarily a bad smell, more like an overpowering air freshener. There were hairs on the floor of the wash room that weren't mine, these were there even before I used the wash room. Some of them stayed there throughout the 5 nights I was there. There was also some toilet roll on the floor behind the toilet throughout my stay. The wardrobe also smelled really badly of BO. This means I kept all my clothes in my suitcase."
Worst place was Rome. Didn't like it that much really. Too many touts and scammers, streets were dirty and graffiti everywhere. Most of the things that I wanted to see where covered in scaffolding. Went for 5 days where 2 would have easily been enough to see everything.
Best place is Japan, followed by Hong Kong. The people of Japan would do anything to help you and the country is lovely. Best time ever!0 -
Wales.
Can't stand the place or the people.
Apologies to all the Welsh MSErs but I speak as I find.0 -
A hotel in Tintagel, Cornwall. I booked what I was told was a family suite for us and our 3 children - it turned out to be a small double with a converted eaves cupboard containing 3 mattresses for the children. The en suite bathroom had a sliding door that didn't close, and a gutless shower that took half an hour to warm the water sufficiently for 1 short meagre shower, so took ages for 5 of us to get ready. When we checked out, they charged us per person rather than a room rate which came up at over £300 a night for B&B, and when we complained they said as a gesture of goodwill (:rotfl: :rotfl:) they'd only charge our youngest 75% of adult rate but the other 2 would count as adults as they were teens.
Don't wish to name it, as it's probably changed hands now, and looks lovely on the internet (but initials are BH for anyone Tintagel-bound this year!)0 -
Worst hotel has to have been in Vicar Lane, Leeds. While in the lavatory, my (locked) room was entered and my phone and wallet containing over £300 in cash were stolen. I didn't ask to change my room (why should I, there was nothing left to steal) but I put a chair under the door lever and the chain on. Because of this, the hotel believed I was lying until I finally told them I was going to the Yorkshire Post about the matter as their security system clearly stank as they stated only my pass card had been used to enter the room.
Worst country, sadly must be South Africa. South Africa is a bautiful country with many lovely people, but I was afraid to travel alone in a car - I was working there - so I saw little of it except the poverty on the way to and from the airport.“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”
