    Well they can and do.
Amazon lockers, collect+,Royal Mail local collect to name some.

They can offer services but they cannot ignore the costs of them. Charging separately for delivery or having a minimum order size are far more sensible than overcharging for the individual price of each and every item.
  • First they killed the market by offering ultra cheap goods and free delivery. Now that they have no direct competitors, they can set their own rules. Free market, but without the "free".

I annoyed about this because I've been gathering several small items in my basket, which I was just going check out today, and noticed that postage was going to be applied. I thought an email should have been sent out?

Umming & aahing whether to choose the prime, we used to have it.
There are 4 of us in this same household that have an amazon account each, so brings the price down to £20 each but perhaps we should just save the money instead....:money:

Don't you believe it! Most of the smaller items on Amazon can be found cheaper on eBay now - and with free postage.

They did not have to refund anyone. The refunds they did give would not even dent their profits.

No, Amazon will not be the next Tesco, they have completely different business models. I don't think they'll lose "many" sales, people have a tendency to stomp their feet for a week or so and then go back to their same spending habits.

Thanks for taking the time to correct my spelling mistake, obviously the most important part of anyones post is their grammical errors.

(and yes I'm aware there are further mistakes in that- I have decided to ignore them just to mess with your head further ;))

And, whilst we're on the subject of grammar, your commas after 'Tesco' and 'sales' should be full stops. :)

    Or semicolons.

    Semicolons are good.

They would be particularly appropriate, here, which is probably why the erroneous commas were used.

CDs are about the only thing I still buy from them, I've been having a look round for other sellers and have been surprised at the price difference. I've got two items currently ordered with Amazon, that 'currently' may change, and I've found both of them one or two pounds cheaper on WowHD... and that's with free P&P. They're a site I'd never heard of (Has anyone else used them?), but I'll be keeping an eye on the two items to see how they compare closer to the release date.

If my parents decide to go for the £79 cost for Prime, I will use their account. As all of the larger items I order go to their address anyway - 10 mins from me.
