Its six of one, half a dozen of the other, although the buyer is currently worse off! The seller shouldn't be selling on eBay if they don't want to accept Paypal and the buyer shouldn't have paid for such an expensive item via a relatively 'unsafe' method.
I can see this having to be resolved in a small claims court.0 -

Don't know if this has been said or not, but...
you recorded yourself opening the package???
That seems like a really odd thing to do.0 -

Not really. Have a search for 'unboxing' videos on YouTube, there are tens of thousands. A lot of people film themselves opening purchases specifically to put on youtube. Everything from expensive items to bits of makeup.
Here's one for a Rolex Unboxing

And Youtube reports 49,300 hits on that search string so I really don't think it's an odd a thing to do as some people on here think.0 -

The seller has since shown me what the tamper proof bag looks like, I didn't receive this bag but just a grey bag with my surname / postcode which was filthy this was taped down by parcel tape
That sounds like a damaged( opened?) item re packaged by Royal Mail.
Nobody would post an item with only a name and post code on it.0 -

As I said in post#3:The outer packaging would really have helped to show whether the parcel had been tampered with or not.
As you have thrown away the outer packaging, I fear you are going to struggle with this.0
