You need to know that we have been told:Saints2011 wrote: »This isn't quite the case. The next day my customer collected it and texted me that it was intact and everything was ok. You need to know that we have been told:
As mentioned in my initial post I had no concerns at the time of picking the parcel up or before opening the parcel that it had been tampered with. Can I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0 -
OK, that's fine.Saints2011 wrote: »As mentioned in my initial post I had no concerns at the time of picking the parcel up or before opening the parcel that it had been tampered with.
But why are you disputing what Meer53 posted?0 -
The seller is currently online & viewing this thread.
I do not wish to jeopardize my position therefore will not be adding any further replys onto this forum.
I thank everyone for taking the time to comment and offer any assistance I really do.
If the seller is reading this I really do hope you see sense and understand I am firstly not in possession of the watch and secondly will fight for my money back. As for legal proeedings I have already welcomed the Police into my home to conduct any search.
Thank you to everyone once again.
Once resolved I shall update this thread accordingly. Can I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Just to answer your question before leaving the thread.
I texted the seller everything was ok, this meant that I had picked the parcel up from the Royal Mail depot on the Friday. I was not giving confirmation that I had opened the parcel and everything was ok.
Just to clear up any confusion.

You really seem to have shot yourself in both feet then gone back and and shot yourself somewhere else. If this ends up in the small claims court I don't see how you can win. First you fail to check what's in the package, then despite finding an empty box you distroy all the evidence that could have shown the watch was stolen in transit and to cap it all you sent the seller a text saying everything was OK.
If I was the seller I would find your story unbelievable and would fight tooth and nail not to refund you.0 -

On the flip side....why would the OP text the seller saying everything is okay if he intended to claim the watch had not arrived?
If memory serves me right....an earlier poster said OP has been blindly naive - but also naive enough to have a ring of truth to it.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Seems like a tall tale indeed...
Man buys an 8 grand Rolex. . .
when he takes delivery of said watch he texts the seller to say; 'everything is a'OK ;-) '
doesn't have a look at the 8 grand watch he just purchased because he's 'too busy' to open an envelope...
decides to finally have a look at his new Rolex after it sitting on his bedroom drawers for 2-3 days...
he films the opening of the envelope so he can 'relive the moment of seeing his new Rolex for the first time...' lol
alas no watch to be found but he quickly throws away the packaging that the watch was sent in and wouldn't you know, the communal bins have now been emptied so the envelope is lost forever...We’ve had to remove your signature. Never played devils advocate?
Lets play it through - what some posters are suggesting.
OP orders a watch and decides he's going to try and scam seller.
OP then texts seller to say it had arrived fine because he thinks it will be more believable to do so and wait 3 days before claiming it was missing despite this actually putting them in a weaker position.
I am not saying the watch hasnt went missing in OP's possession by him or someone else (or that it has). Just that imo....the fact he texted it was okay and waited 3 days makes me to lean towards him telling the truth rather than that he's lying.
People tend to make lies believable for obvious reasons - which leads to the truth often being more absurd than a lie.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
