The seller in question has sold a number of very expensive watches over the past few months and the feedback received appears to be genuine enough.
They give their name and address on the ebay listings, something that if it's genuine information (and at the moment there is nothing to say that it isn't) goes a fair way to show that the seller isn't a scammer.

This was my thoughts exactly when purchasing the watch which made me place the order.

The address shown is a mailing box not the sellers home address I have since found out.
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)

The photos seem very poor quality. My iPhone takes better ones-very few close ups for such an expensive watch.

    Feel like such a idiot!

A lot of that feedback is for stuff they've bought, rather than sold.

I can understand why they would not give a real address out bearing in mind the type of items they dealing in

    Thank you.

Assuming the watch was inside of the package when it was sent. Is it possible to hold the Royal Mail accountable?

The insurance was only the standard up to £500. The seller didn't pay for any further protection.

I am really relying on Barclaycard !

Would my insurer Aviva accept a claim on a home insurance policy for a item I didn't have in my possession at the time of incepting the cover for the Rolex?

Try also posting on the ebay part of MSE it's further down the page.

They can advise you on what (if any) options you have with Ebay.

The guys on this part can help you with the more legal side eg what options (if any) you have of recovering the money through legal methods
