be careful that you Do Receive your Free Night Certificate, boombap, as i have found them to be extremely evasive.
and agreed, it is difficult to know where else to look beyond Amex.0 -
Talk about leaving it late!!!
I haven't sorted any replacement card(s) out yet, but one thing is certain, I will do tonight!! I get (or got) around £600 cashback annually!!
So, now next steps are to go for the Amex Platinum, 5% for first 3 months cb, followed by tiered up to 1.25%. Or if I pay a fee of £25, can get the 1.25% rate the whole time, after the initial 5% 3 month promo. What do you suggest??

I worked it out on a spreadsheet once, and if you spend more than ~£3.7k a year then it works out better on the payment card. This is not including the 5% bonus months.0 -
Last day for my on my Capital Business Aspire card!
I've replaced it with an AMEX Platinum Cashback card (the 25 pounds a year works out best for me) and I am thinking of getting an Asda card for 0.5% for the places that don't accept AMEX.0 -
Keep the card not use it, but keep it for the extras e.g. Credit monitoringLast day for my on my Capital Business Aspire card!
Don't use it today though expecting cash back.
Cash back is only paid on transactions that are posted to your account by tomorrow (1st June). After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

I've also gone for the Amex Platinum with the £25 fee.
Today I called to cancel an inactive Barclaycard (used previously for 0% balance transfer) and they said they'd convert it to a 1% cash back card!!! Excellent!!!! No fee, and huge limit.0 -
Time to get on the phone and tell them what they can do with their card!0

Personally I'd wait till you account is credited with the cashback through to 1st June, and any annual fee has been repaidAfter reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

Do I have to wait til my anniversary month for the cash back, and to close the account? That's 6 to 7 months away!0
