Put it through the shredder, they can have it back! Account CLOSED!
    ...but keep for Equifax monitoring...

FWIW, I have CapOne identity alert, with the 2x annual Equifax reports, dating from when they gave it to all cardholders (not just Aspire) - I cancelled my last Capital One card over two years ago now (having held at least one! at any one time, continuously for nearly a decade) and that has stayed active.

Keep the card not use it, but keep it for the extras e.g. Credit monitoring

There were many incarnations of the card, what's confusing they even had the same name, just different offerings, some paid an annual fee some didn't and some must have offered a zero % f ex.

Yes, as in the post above free Equifax identity alerts, and 2 free reports a year, I get that with my 'World card' £18 fee and £10 credit for being good and a straight 1% now changed to 0% cash back, no fee and no statement credit. So it's just like any other card, but keeps the Equifax monitoring.

Hi , thanks for that. Believe it or not, I'm 70, and never ever done a credit check on myself. Done the kids/grandkids to sort them out, but, never thought to do my own.Never had any declined, M&S just said, YES, Perhaps a peep at my own, before I cancel my Capone may be worth it.;)

I'll be closing my Luma card. I already have the two Barclaycards, a Post Office card, and a Laura Ashley card, so I could do with reducing my cards anyway.

Good point, I don't think you get the free Equifax reports with the Luma, so there is absolutely no point in keeping it?!?
