    Yes - its annoying.

The £125 direct offer ended on Friday 13 February - perhaps that date has spooked their website!

So why are MSE still advertising £125!!!!

I am referring to direct applications - that £125 offer ended on 13 Feb.

Yes - if you click via MSE or MS you are supposed to get £125 at present. But the problem is - unlike say the M&S offer available until 31 March - there is no separate dedicated website once you click via them before going into the First Direct site.

So unless your cookies/tracking is working First Direct may not pick it up correctly - and just assume its a direct application.

But if you went via MSE/MS then tell make your case - they will normally be flexible. But be honest!

I think the offer for switching is back to £125, as even if you go directly to First Directs website albeit with the right browser, the offer states £125.

Nope, says £100 looking at it on my iPad using safari. However MSE says £125 which in my case 1st Direct don't seem to honor

I get £125 offered for switching just with the First Direct site. I'm using my iPad and have checked with both safari and also chrome. Strangely I have though noticed before only £100 switching reward displayed though.

This is what I see displayed in the small print

"** Open a 1st Account, then switch your banking to us using the Current Account Switch Service and pay in at least £1,000 within three months of your account opening and we'll add £125 to your account. This offer is only available for people who haven't previously held any account with first direct and is limited to one payment per customer or joint relationship. Incentives are paid within 28 days of criteria being met. This offer may be withdrawn at any time without notice."
I can only presume it's a cookie issue for those only seeing £100

    Hi Midland,

I used the MSE link which took me to the 1st Direct site displaying £125 to switch. I proceeded to open an account with that link and a few days later switched an account to them. So, I still dont understand why 1st Direct will not honor this. The girl I spoke to yesterday kept insisting that the offer was no longer available and has not been since mid Feb.

So WHY are MSE STILL displaying a link that takes you to the £125 page if it's no longer available.

    Surely someone can answer this
