DGD1+2 are due to arrive at 8.30 but are only staying until 10.30 - that suits me very well - DH can take me out to lunch at the garden centre before he goes off to a meeting this afternoon, and I've got the rest of the day to myself.

Hoping to file papers in the study and plant things out in the garden. Otherwise the house is clean enough and tidy, except for a pile of magazines in the LR which I will sort this evening, and some washing which has finished drying overnight in the bathroom which I will put away after breakfast :)

Back to babysteps for me, I think!

(((Hugs))) and high-fives all round x

Settling, calming and nerve-healing vibes for you, Lamewolf.

Hugs for you, Ionafan. Just reading your daily task lists always makes me realise just how much can be achieved in a day, and it's not like you to feel overwhelmed. I hope you have enough spoons back in the spoonpot to keep you going today, migraines are banished and OH realises helping you when you're busy would be appreciated.

    Welcome, BiscuitMonster!

Cheering vibes for you Bossy. I'm glad you've already booked another holiday and have that to look forward to.

We have a new, hopefully permanent, member of the household, details here. I am no good without a dog. Devil Cat has accepted the situation with his customary combination of rage, insouciance and pragmatism.

After three years of flying I think this house is finally at the stage where a little bit of effort here and there every day means that it sort of looks okay. I'm rather chuffed, so thank you everyone, especially Dusty and Natty. Without the lists and the support we'd still be living in squalor.
    Better is good enough.

Boots run done.. there is a supply issue with Moomins growth hormone.. they had 1 box in so we are ok for about a week and a half but they are saying 5th May!!!!!!!

Parcel returned.. I kept 1 of the 4 bras I ordered!! oh well, refund heading my way!
signed bits returned to new house insurance people and DD mandate. .. al very efficient of me

Dr's appointment made for Dot and Tiddles for Friday.. then remade for a week on Monday as she is busy after school all next week.. I decided if we get Dot checked and all is ok then no harm done but if she does have a problem getting support in place right now before school becomes a real problem is definitely going to help her, and the school staff! I know at nursery with 17 children they are really quite struggling with her behaviour. What makes it harder to understand is that she has an amazing vocabulary so you expect more from her and she behaves like a wild creature.. it is like having Stitch come stay forever! She is such a lovely little girl sometimes. She was screaming at OH when he told her off the other day saying he was hideous.. I was in stitches laughing at her.

Anyway.. laundry to put out and a subtle suggestion the grass is minced before the long weekend :p
