Ok. So house not spotless but looking so much better than this morning. Tidied living room and hoovered. Then half an hour later all covered in toys again! I did go back to nursery strategies and give them a 5 minute tidy up to e before bed so living room is now relaxing and calm! Should do that more often instead of me doing it when they have gone to bed!

Hubby out but will be back within the hour so I need to quickly do some school work, see if I can get anything else ticked off the list and start his dinner!

Super busy; both Vallikids are home - DD with her stuff for the summer

Am also flying at work in case we move rooms (am waiting 'firm and final decision'. Had 3 so far. All different...)

My colleague asked me if we had a Bambi stapler last week. Well we do. We have 5. :rotfl: and 3 full size ones and three wall tackers :rotfl: And enough staples to stock - well ...Staples.

Lots of stuff being properly homed.

    Evening all

Flying still lacking but very large box of unwanted books taken to the CS.

    Shopping was unsucccessful.

    Lynne it is next Wednesday.

time for a cuppa, online shopping and the ironing with political debate cause I'm geeky like that.

Ionafan, do you think you could stop doing one of your Vol jobs? I have thought for a while they are taking more enjoyment out of your life than they are adding.

  • Evening,

Well, only the basics done today, it was one of those days! Got kids to school in the usual frantic fashion, then work, then I forgot I was giving blood after work so OH picked kids up, when I got back the shopping was being delivered, then tea to cook, then DD2 poorly and clingy (DD1 only back at school today after being off since Friday with a flu type thing).

ionafan, Hi, despite everything you seem to have achieved an enormous amount today - well done!

Hugs ionafan and gentle ones too for LW if you're reading.

Beavers went down a storm tonight, they all had so much fun, the whole St George theme appeals to everyone! Acting out stories, making masks and posters and preparing for a little play they'll do in a couple of weeks. I also sorted what was needed for my session next week.

DD has got two crosses on her chart tonight :( after such a fabulous start to the day, too. Ah well. There is nothing quite like a four year old girl in a mood, eh pigpen ;)

I'm not doing any more tonight, but will crack on tomorrow, I do need to source some disposable cameras, though...

Well - I had a letter from the hospital today. Long story short in that when they re-checked my x-rays it appears I had a small chip fracture (break) in my foot. That explains why it's taking so long to improve :(

Had a really good choir practice tonight with a guest conductor for the first half - she started with a hilarious warm-up and got us all singing together really well - it was great fun :D The second half was more like hard work but still good.

Thank you both. I love my voluntary jobs. The organisation of the exchange visit will come to a natural end in June. The NT room guiding delights me with art, architecture and gardens. I co-write short courses and design and make up the resource boxes for them, and the charity is also connected with this. I have already cut down on other non-family commitments and refused to take on any more things for the time being. It's just that keeping a good work/life balance is difficult at present. I am trying, honestly!

Bed calls... See you all in the morning. Tomorrow I'm hoping to spend time in the garden with DGD1+2, possibly digging a large hole in the raised bed for a small bubbling fountain :)

White rabbits, white rabbits, white rabbits.

    Morning all

Today I must find some time to fly, the house cleanlieness is suffering from my kondoing.

    Pilates first thing
    I WILL clean the bathrooms
    Towels to wash
    Hand washing to do
paperwork on the table must be cleared
Dress for interview still to be sourced.

Need to think about dinner for tomorrow as I have had my arm twisted to spend my day at the cricket club doing the teas.
