Don't think you're getting shot of the hotpants so quickly...Mrs Doyle has kindly offered to make us lovely, ladylike Ascoty hats out of our hotpants. :rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks ever so for nabbing #17;The Cauldron was just saying that he had just enough room for a few more bites to eat.
Can't a girl keep her dignity even once when you riotous lot are aroundNot selective amnesia marmite but a whole case of booze and a huge case of denial :rotfl:
I am intrigued and a little worried at how the wonderful Mrs Doyle is going to make a hat out of what were essentially very small knickers. No offence knit witch they were very pretty and sparkly but my butt was freezingDebt free as of 29.10.2020 🎉😁

Next month's theme: Ascot or Wimbledon? Both have endless scope for silliness...
Votes please!
It's just occured to me:is Wimbledon in June or July?
eta Wimbledon 29th June -12th July.
Royal Ascot mid June
Royal Ascot it is. :j
Igor, get that jockey kit on and Hubert saddled up - we have work to do!
Can we enter Hubert into one of the races at Ascot? Perhaps that will cheer him up?
No NSD here for me...good job I'm not counting this monthpopped into town with OH who wanted to get a hair cut. While he was waiting I went and picked up my Next order (cost me £7 for £42 worth of sheets :money:) , then ended up getting some tea lights for Xmas (apple and cinnamon) at 50% off (cost me £2.50... They are the large ones :money:), and then I got some quorn pieces and mince in Iceland at 2 for £3, plus the bags were from a previous promo that had 50% extra free in each...double :money::money:
Only thing that wasn't so :money:was a full price back of sugarsnap peas from tacto for £1.40, but I can snack on them, use them in a Thai green curry for dinner and had some in hm egg fried rice with LO BBQ chicken for dinner..,yummyFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

No, Igor, you can't have one of Mrs Doyle's Ascot hats. They are being made from lampshades with recycled sequin hotpants. Now on me, such a hat would, with my aristocratic bearing, look the epitome of haute couture. You,however, would look like a camp Flowerpot man. Flobberlob! One life - your life - live it!0

I'm sorry scotmum,I shouldn't tease you...I think that we all are suffering from a touch of selective amnesia, after having a very jolly evening.
Don't worry about the hat.I've had a quick word in Mrs Doyle's earand she's going to make you one using her spare tea cosy plus the hot pants. :rotfl:Nargleblast wrote: »I see Mrs Doyle has started making hats for Ascot, all the lights in Ennessdee Towers have lost their lampshades!
Oh,I quite fancy a pretty hat with a papal motif. Can we enter Hubert into one of the races at Ascot? Perhaps that will cheer him up?
We're one ahead of you...that is indeed our plan to recoup our huge monetary losses from Eurovision's fiasco of a contest.
We even have a jockey in mind...our very own culinary genius and general dogsbody Igor!
Apparently it's been a long cherished dream of his to be a jockey.
Hubert has been filled in on all the details, and will consider racing, just as long as he can wear a pretty frock, matching hat and handbag and his favourite stilletos.0 -
So, the last few days of May pass in a flurry of activity. All NSD gang members are busy hunting down their last few NSDs, Mrs Doyle is recycling the sequined hotpants we all wore to the contest that shall not be named and marmite is frantically rooting down the backs of the Ennessdee Towers sofas for spare change so we can pay the leccy bill. Chef is trying to 're-word the icing on the cake which was supposed to be the centrepiece for our song contest celebration party. That's the trouble when you fail to win a contest that should have been a dead cert, so much inconvenience for everyone! Commiseration cake anyone? No takers? Ok, I suppose I will have to find some [STRIKE]eejit[/STRIKE] willing volunteer to eat it.....No, Hubert, not you, chocolate and gherkin is not a good dietary choice for someone of your delicate constitution.....Oh, dear, too late, he's wolfed the lot.....gangway, folks, I'm outta here......And if you have any sense you will be too.....One life - your life - live it!0
