Talk talk said it was damaged because of a bad thunderstorm we had had, not me, they were the ones who had had the phone line etc checked, they were the ones who promised to send out a new modem (twice).0

You've lost me??? Are you saying that a storm damaged your modem or are you having problems getting the TalkTalk Modem for the Broadband Service??? If your having problems getting the modem maybe TalkTalk Boy could assist you?
No I had had a modem that was working perfectly, but was not working the day after the bad storm, one light was out, hence talktalk's 'senior engineers' said it was the modem. They said they would replace it and kept saying it would be with me via the post in 3-5 days, twice they said they would order it hence my frustration after 4 weeks to change my service provider.0 -

Do you have names/dates you spoke to talktalk ? I'd reccomend speaking to the call centres again ans checking if they have any notes saying you were promised a good will gesture. If they say no, explain to them the problems youve had and im sure youll be able to have this applied (depending on how long the history and inconvienience was)
However there are other forums which i help on that the staff have been able to verify who i am and dont mind me offering assistance such as www.talktalkhelp.com www.thnkbroadband.com and www.the-scream.net0 -
To all who are having trouble with TT. I sent another email to TT with a copy of the letter I had sent to Lesley Dunnett and their customer service mailed me back saying they had not had the attachment but asking for details of my problems and my bank details etc. Mailed them back (without my bank details) and told them and said I would pay my last bill for £23 of phone calls and line rental when I had received some compensation for lack of a BB service and some goodwill credits (as mentioned in their Terms and Conditions). My revised bill came to £15 which was due about 23rd August. Sent my cheque off yesterday and today I have received a cheque from them for £10 for my troubles.
I say keep at them and good luck to anyone still dealing with them.0
