Yes but I couldn't tell you exactly what tasks he does everyday or him me.
  • Yes, I can describe my boyfriend's job, as he's a maths teacher and we've all had one. I'm an accountant but for an unusual employer and not sure he'd know what I do day-to-day as it varies quite a lot.

No. It's like he's the Chandler Bing of work where no one really knows why he does. Sorry!

I am a National Account Manager for a large Plc specialising in large scale telephony solutions and customer engagement. I manage over 50 universities across the UK and have been in the industry for many years.

My wife says I am a sales rep.
I understand your wife's pain.:p My husband used to do the same job albeit in a different industry (engineering bias) and I could never describe what he did. It's a lot easier since he became an IT project manager.

My husband works in the waste industry, but is highly specialised and a high level manager. My late grandma (bless her!) was talking to my Mum one day and was saying how much she liked my husband, but that it was a shame he was a bin man. How many bin men have a BMW as a company car! I don't think she ever got it.

OH is self employed so I know pretty much everything about his job. If he was asked to describe my job he could tell you where I work, and vaguely what I do, but I don't think he knows much about the detail. To be fair that's probably more my fault than his - when I get home from work the last thing I want to do is talk about my job in detail. However he probably could tell you a great deal about all the things that irritate me in the office ... :o

Of course I could and so could they. We often discuss it, I don't really understand how two people who live together wouldn't know.
