Some of us are getting replies to our emails, but those replies are not taking into account the T & Cs applicable at point of purchase, nor, in some instances, specifically answering the question/s asked in relation to an individual and therefore specific account, but rather are giving general "answers" (and I use that term loosely), that do not resolve the issue/s.

Following this thread for the past few days, and it does sound like Mightly Deals couldn't organise a good drinking session in a brewery

    Hiya

I emailed their customer support today - pleading lack of understanding that they had cancelled my offer because I had un-subscribed because I definitely hadn't.

I also mentioned that I had seen on this site that there was some misunderstanding and could they get back to me asap as to what was happening.

Within an hour I had the long letter as follows

We recently emailed some customers to say they had un-subscribed from Mighty Deals after they purchased our £10 Tesco Gift Card offer for £5. We made a mistake and would like to apologise. some customers were unsubscribed in error.

We have experienced a large number of duplicate accounts being made to purchase multiple Tesco Gift Cards. In amongst these duplicate accounts, some accounts were unsubscribed in error. We sold over 16,000 Tesco £10 for £5 Gift Cards, over 11,000 customers will receive their redemption link on May 15th as confirmed in our deal terms. Over 4,500 duplicate accounts were created to purchase more than one per customer, or two per household.

Accounts unsubscribed in error have been reinstated with immediate effect and these customers will still receive their Tesco £10 for £5 Gift Card redemption link on May 15th. No further action is required.

Again, please do accept our apologies for any confusion we have caused. It has always been in our best interest to offer our 50% off the High Street deals to genuine customers

  • This is a rouse. Bascially, they will still benefit if they refund those that complain. They are expecting the others to not bother with it. Which most people won't fight over a £5 but you see it adds up. Infact we are talking a £100,000 + profit for them using shady practices like this.

What makes me laugh is that Tesco are condoning it. They should be ashamed for allowing them to use their name. I won't be shopping at tesco again.

    Cleaned up a bit. :D

The 15th May has finally arrived and the links should be sent to email addresses today.
What could possibly go wrong? :rotfl:

No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.

Yes indeed, I never even had a reply from their representative on here yesterday but I won't be leaving it.

Every one who is told they are going to receive the deal, is the deal showing in your account. Thanks

**Well, looks like a complaint to Advertising Standards Authority will be going ahead**

Despite ongoing ticket communications with MD requesting they reinstate my deal as I did NOT break any T & Cs at time of purchase, I have logged into my Paypal account today and there is already a £5 refund there from MD dated 13th May, so it would seem I am being considered 'guilty' when not.

MD (it would seem) have acted as Judge, Jury and Executioner without listening to or considering appeals and without reference to their own T & Cs which were applicable at point of sale/purchase.

  • I only ordered one offer and never unsubscribed, even put up with the constant junk! The only communication I've had is on here to say I was being refunded because I'd broken the T&C which I hadn't. Can't fathom out how they could refund me with no info as to my account info. I've checked my PayPal a/c and no refund there, and no voucher in the emails! What a surprise. The message said refund in 5-7 days, but I see someone's already got theirs! Not sure what to do next. Wait until today's over and see if anything turns up in the emails and if not ticket them and open a dispute at PayPal. They're not getting away with my £5! I'll unsubscribe as soon as I've got my £5 back!
