Use different beans though, otherwise a waste of time.0 -
the white beans, butter or cannolini, are yummy on toast for a quick supper: toast some nice bread and spead with pesto or a salsa verde then put the hot beans on the top....excessively simple quick meal.0

They scream CHILLI to me!!!
I never only use kidney beans - I love chickpeas in chilli and will put in cans of any beans I have in the cupboards.
Once those are used up, try pinto beans and borlotti beans.... Yummy!!!0 -

With Beans you must remember the cardinal rule of flavour flavour flavour. If you can get a stonking sauce around them you are onto a winner.
Butter beans always like cream and cheese based sauces it brings out their flavour. Chickpeas make fantastic curry, falafel, houmous and are a worthy inclusion in cupboard. Black eye beans like a tasty veg stew.
You have no lentils!!!
( I live on Waitrose Puy, and red lentils, I am a massive lentils fan!!)
Rose Elliot bean book adapt as very wholefoody you need gourmet real butter, all butter pastry etc to bring out beans.
HFW and Gaurdian food columnists reliable recipes. A very foody ingredients that is very good for you.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

My personal advice is buy ready made meals which use beans excellently, Tesco veggie lentil mousaka is a winner. Try ready made Falafel Cauldron is good to see what a good recipe tastes like. Be true to yourself.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

I love Rose Elliot's recipes. Red lentils make a really delicious pate. I'm not slavish about what beans to use in which recipes I swap them for whatever I have to hand if I don't have the "right" ones. Nothing bad has happened.0

My personal collection includes over 120 different varieties at the last count; I grow hundreds of bean plants each year and leave them all to dry on the plant for winter stews. I could double that and still be nowhere near the number that you can grow if you have the time, space and inclination. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0
