Hi, Make some Lentil soup. It's so easy. I can't think at the moment what you can do with the mixed beans are they dried or tinned? although i have used mixed beans in a recipe, i think it was a bean casserole, which turned out really scrummy and cheap. I will try to remember what it was called, if i remember correctly it was posted on this website. I will get back on here when i have a bit more time. The hound is wanting to go out and that's why i can't really concentrate. lol20p savers club

Cooked beans are great in a sausage casserole - keep veggies in slightly bigger chunks so it's a 'cassoulet'.0

I make bean soup - sweat chopped vegetables of your choice (I use swede, onion, parsnip, carrot, pumpkin) until soft. Add stock and cooked beans. Simmer for about 30-60 mins. Season and blitz. Add more beans and bring to simmering. Serve with crusty bread and grated cheese.
I'll add this to the exisitng thread on this subjetc to give you more ideas.

OK, so I went a bit mad when Mr T's had tinned beans 3 for £1
- they're not something I usually eat but decided they'd be good for me;) ... so I now have a cupboard full of the following:
Cannellini
Butter
Black eyed
Haricot
I thought about putting some in soup (usually do veg or split yellow pea & veg) and am making some tomorrow - but not sure which ones?
What can I do with the others - haven't a clue what they taste like!:o TIAGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Haricot beans are what are used in baked beans. You could make a tomato and onion sauce to have with them. eat with pasta.
Butterbeans are one of my favorites, I just like them plain boiled with gravy.
cannelli and blackeyes, use in a casserole or stew or something like a chilli.0 -
Any curries, stews, chillis, pasta dishes. Love em.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0
