It is a very, very sad day for me today and I have no idea if/how it will affect my future Elite shenanigans..:(

I went into my local A this morning for some normal shopping with my wife and daughter to get some bits for a bbq. I noticed a woman that I knew to be management looking in my direction and speaking to someone on her mobile.

Anyway, we carried on putting various bits in our trolley and 5 minutes later, this manager pulled me aside and asked if she could talk to me privately.

She told me that what I have been doing is not in the spirit of the apg scheme and I am therefore, from today, banned from using apg vouchers in the store. This is my only store within 20 odd miles so this decision effectively kills off instore glitching for me.

Probably my own doing as I got too friendly with some SAs (to make spending large apgs easier), however, it appears that some jealous SAs overheard conversations and went to management.

Might have to have a voddie or two tonight to get over the shock..:o:o

    sorry to hear this mate.

I called apg cs when I had a small issue and said something along the lines of.
I separate my shops as to get the best out of the very generous apg system you have. I also do this because I prefer to shop in asda as opposed to other stores. I feel it a little harsh to stop me using apgs my shops entitle me to.(latter being your case).

They can either type in the barcode or I find in most cases they simply type in the value of the coupon.

Have you tried reducing the size of the voucher? that may solve that.

    Oh bless:o

Hope Mrs SFSB and family are ok......they must have wondered what on earth was going on:o

Not in the spirit of the APG:eek:.........could apply to most of us on here:o

Lay low awhile and take stock.....literally......guess like most of us you will have a decent stash....things change, new staff, new management etc....at least you haven't been banned......and staff rarely know if it's a glitchy shop going through the tills.....it's just recycling that will be an issue......you will need to plan a day out close to your next nearest A:D

You will be fine.....now go and pour yourself another drink:D

This is not the end of SFSB:cool::p:)

So sorry to read about your APG ban sfsb, may need to change your glitching tictacs :(

Interesting reading about your experience poppy, I do wonder what A make of this, whether they care or just let it go due to it's minimal impact on profits. It does seem to be individual staff that get funny about it, probably jealousy

I am sure that A do care as any loss of profit is a loss of profit, but up to now (since the ambrosia issue) it perhaps would cost more to solve than to let the relative few of us that shop this way get away with it for a while. That said, 3agl3 eye specialise in controlling/consolidating vouchers so this may be part of their remit and why they have been brought in?

I nearly always reduce the size of the vouchers to save ink/paper and make them easier to carry round.
