It is a very, very sad day for me today and I have no idea if/how it will affect my future Elite shenanigans..:(

I went into my local A this morning for some normal shopping with my wife and daughter to get some bits for a bbq. I noticed a woman that I knew to be management looking in my direction and speaking to someone on her mobile.

Anyway, we carried on putting various bits in our trolley and 5 minutes later, this manager pulled me aside and asked if she could talk to me privately.

She told me that what I have been doing is not in the spirit of the apg scheme and I am therefore, from today, banned from using apg vouchers in the store. This is my only store within 20 odd miles so this decision effectively kills off instore glitching for me.

Probably my own doing as I got too friendly with some SAs (to make spending large apgs easier), however, it appears that some jealous SAs overheard conversations and went to management.

Might have to have a voddie or two tonight to get over the shock..:o:o

sfsb..no idea if this is any help but if you are travelling 20 miles, is there another store a little further say 25/30 miles ? looks stupid now i write it but what i'm trying to say is if you go a little further and its a good glitch say like the dove, if there are a few stores a little further away then you could spread your shops between the sadas in that radius. Would only be worthwhile if it was a good one to cover the petrol cost. Don't know what job you do if it involves travelling but if it does then pop in others a long the way. Also family day trips, always sadas along the way. Sounds like this is a store decision and Ho not getting involved. Def. down to people working there not liking it. I've seen till assistants like that and sa's. It may not be in the spirit of the apg but we didn't invent their software nor programme it and it is within the terms and conditions so perhaps it may be worth doing any of the above, getting others to go in for you (work mates/family etc) HD/CC until things settle and then try again.
    I am sorry, really sorry

So sorry to read about your APG ban sfsb, may need to change your glitching tictacs :(

Interesting reading about your experience poppy, I do wonder what A make of this, whether they care or just let it go due to it's minimal impact on profits. It does seem to be individual staff that get funny about it, probably jealousy

Noticed a few posts back that some barcodes on new apg printouts were not scanning. I have just had this problem but SA did not know how to overcome this problem and staff that would have known were not there.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem. TIA

not managed to fix this problem myself, but SA can easily override the input, if they have had training. But do SA have any training...........?

Sorry to hear your news SFSB and thank you for all your glitches - hopefully this is a temporary situation.

Good idea tockyrose - he could buy in the nearest one as paying cash and then spend the vouchers in those slightly further away.

A number of the Elite may "allegedly" go beyond the t&cs where the limit is officially 10 vouchers and £100 limit per month, so it may be worth holding back a little. For all we know, this may be the start of a clampdown as a result of their new partnership with 3agl3 eye.

Sorry to hear about your Sada experience SFSB, maybe you could still do the getting of the apg on glitchy finds, then your wife/kids could spend them on normal shopping. Won't be as profitable though as rinse and repeats I would imagine.

They can either type in the barcode or I find in most cases they simply type in the value of the coupon.
