Limousine overcharged me on my wedding day

Could you explain precisely how the driver can claim it to be your fault? What exactly is he saying was your fault?
Limousine hire is notoriously linked to criminality btw.
Check with your local council if they Are registered for private hire .
The council may have an online complaints form too but I'd flag this behaviour up with them by phone first .
Sorry I didnt reply to this, was using my mobile before and the response is quite long!
So I emailed the limo broker with my complaint, they in turn forwarded it to the company. The company has responded with a pack of lies! They said that the bride kept him waiting for 1 hour passed the agreed time, which is just ridiculous and untrue! He said that because of this the driver had to call his next customer to let them know that he would be late.
He said that when the bride came out of the house she was reluctant to pay any money at all, which again is rubbish. The agreement with the limo broker was to pay the deposit which I did by card, and then pay the driver the rest on the day. I gave my bride the agreed money, she gave it to the driver and he then said he wanted another 50 quid or he wont take her to the church! He said she owed this because she had kept him waiting. The limo was booked for one hour from 12.15-13.15. He turned up at 12.00 and they were at the church by just after 1pm so it is absolute rubbish.
He then said that when they got to the church, they had to wait in the vehicle because guests were still arriving. And the funniest bit is that he goes on to say, that as a goodwill gesture, he decided to wait outside the church for a whole hour as she had left some things in the car for our children. We don't even have any children!!
It's an absolute joke really. The limo broker has basically said it is not their problem and I need to speak to the company.0 -
Presumably your vicar could confirm you weren't an hour late?0

RS2000 , what has a story about a 74 yr old retired coach driver got to do with this , would you like me to name 2 retired police officers that have faced similar charges?
Read the article, he was obviously comitting criminal offences when he was driving coaches.
As for police officers, what have they got to do with it?0 -
How much did the wedding cost altogether?
What percentage of that is this extra £50?
It's probably a lot easier to just forget it. Maybe leave some online reviews where possible, but otherwise don't let one bad incident spoil memories of your day.0 -

It's Freddy you need to be pointing this out to, he thinks they're all honest.0 -

Does either the broker or the limo company have a presence on any social media websites where it's possible for people to leave reviews?
If so, a facebook or Twitter comment (I don't use Twitter so don't know if this can be done) warning potential customers that they may be faced with either paying additional costs or losing their booking with no notice might get the attention of the companies concerned.
Thats a good idea, I'll do just that. limobroker.co.uk.0 -

Agreed.
OP it sounds like you're not happy with your wife and are now trying to blame the delivery company0
