Its now been 5 months since their announcement and ive not heard of anyone been contacted regarding their errors??? contacted the bank and all they tell you is that it will take upto 18 months - im not convinced!!!
It will take time.
The FCA found that of 126,600 complaints reviewed between May 2011 and July 2013 could have seen up to 42,200 given the wrong response and £50,900 paid the wrong amount.
Cydesdale are reviewing ALL complaints received prior to Aug 2014. That is a massive volume on top of the incoming new complaints they are getting.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi,
I understand your frustrations, I have had my case with the FOS for 35 months, I spoke to them last week, due to FCA fine with Y/bank Clydesdale cases are being reviewed, I was told I might hear something by the end of the year.
The annoying thing is that I wrote to Yorkshire within the 7 years for them destroying my records, they claimed they couldn't find my records for 10 months that took me over the 7 years, all they could tell me is that they could see my loan of circa £12,000 but couldn't tell me anything about it.
Unfortunately patience, the FOS did say my case of 35 months was one of the longest they had seen0 -
Spooky, FOS have just called and advised Yorkshire have found paperwork and have upheld my complaint, no idea how to work out the redress, but total £7500 loan, total was £11,000 inc interest and PPI, dating back to July 1999, so 16 years interest.0

Any updates? Anyone had any success with Clydesdale?Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?0

weeeellll, where to begin - with the deliberately wrong address for replies to the original enquiry, an address that turned out not to exist at all? Or the lack of information about processes, the letter stating that what should have been completed in October would be delayed to the end of November? The original claim that they didnt have a record of ppi related transactions (mortgages, loans etc) that I was able to disprove? The complete lack of information when contacted? I am not optimistic, this will be a long fight but I will keep you posted...what a bunch.0

I have received my offer, but the basic amount before the interest hasn't been broken down.
I have a call with them this afternoon, to request a full breakdown to get to the basic amount to be refunded, they are to going to provide redress, but I am not convinced the amount is correct.
Do you get the £300.00 compensation in addition, or is the interest your compensation?0 -
Right, so far the score is -
3 incidences of wrong address given for response to letter claiming not to have bank mortagages and loan details
1 letter as above, eventually delivered by hand to a local branch
Unreasonable delays with no explanation
Two mortgage based claims disallowed on spurious grounds, so off again to FO
one letter about claims, saying that what ought to have been reported on by end October
would not be end November
and now - tara! -26th November, one letter stating that responses due end November will now be end February 2016. No explanation.
So it's off to the Ombudsman on two new counts in addition to the existing. It will take a long time I know, but honestly, behaviour like this really does get the dander going - and now, where I might have been inclined to leave it alone, I am damned if I am going to let this go. ever.0 -
Sent a letter off yesterday to see if they could give any kind of update on what is happening. The first letter I received back in June did state it could take up to 18 months but there's no harm in finding out..Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?0

Have you anything back from them yet? my husbands claim is getting relooked at after the ombudsman ruling in Clydesdale Banks favour I think late 2013, Out of the blue in November they contacted him to say his claim with be reassessed, we got letter on 3 December saying they would let him know within 56 days, a few days short of this a letter saying they give him a final outcome by 29 February, but I do know they are one of the worst banks dragging it out with these claims.0

At least you know that your case is definitely being looked at.0
