What DD if it's a 'wallet', not an account and, AFAIK, doesn't have a sort code and an account number?A sort code and account number for Blue Rewards used to show up in the Android app, but it no longer does.
My bank accounts sort code is 20-25-36, listed as "BARCLAYS BANK PLC, DIRECT BANKING 2".
My "blue rewards" wallet things sort code is 20-92-75, listed as "BARCLAYS BANK PLC, BARCLAYS PINGIT 20".
The Payments UK website says:Faster Payments can be sent to this sort code.
Bacs Credit payments can be sent to this sort code.
Bacs Direct Debits can be set up on this sort code.
CHAPS Payments can be sent to this sort code.
Not eligible for Cheque & Credit Clearing.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
It does have an account number and sort code.
My bank accounts sort code is 20-25-36, listed as "BARCLAYS BANK PLC, DIRECT BANKING 2".
My "blue rewards" wallet things sort code is 20-92-75, listed as "BARCLAYS BANK PLC, BARCLAYS PINGIT 20".
Pingit is Barclay's service for making payments to mobile phone numbers. I have an account, but I can't connect it to my number. Mobile payments haven't really taken off anyway.
This is what I'm presented with when I log in to Barclays:
I've only seen my Blue Rewards' sort code and account number displayed when I used the app, but it's no longer shown there.0 -
The same here. Even internal transfers are not available for Blue Rewards and one has to use 'Redeem' instead.0

Is blue reward worth it?
I have Barclays Current A/C & Savings A/C
Also have TSB Classic plus A/C.
So what do you get apart from the £7 reward/£3 fee??
do you get any other extras/benefits??
Recently implemented, you'll receive £1 a month if you have a Barclayloan.
There's also the ability to earn enhanced cashback - notably with Expedia, but also online highstreet outlets via SmartSpend, and also potentially on certain household bills. Probably not worth switching to Barclays just to take advantage of this, but if these were services you already were using, a pleaant bonus.: )0 -
According to news reports today Barclays Blue Rewards will be double 'for January' if you switch to Barclays, or newly activate Blue Rewards on a n existing account this month.
No details yet, as far as I can see on their website, but it sounds a fairly poor offer to me, if the basic facts are true. Double rewards for just one month?

Thanks, I came here to try and find out more - if it is just for Jan that is not much incentive for a new customer as you are unlikely to have switched much before the end of Jan if you were to apply today.I think....0

What I found is that as a small business owner, when I pay myself by transfer from the business account, Blue Rewards team don't recognise this as an eligible payment. I made an official complaint and Barclays acknowledged the issue and gave me a credit as compensation and told me the problem would be fixed. I continued to get emails saying I wasn't eligible so I reopened the complaint and finally received an acknowledgement that the problem was still outstanding and my Blue Rewards account was actually going to be frozen. I have been assured that once the technical issue with recognising salary paid from a business account have been resolved I will receive all the missing payments and the account will be reinstated. In the mean time I also received another lump sum for compensation. I pointed out that I could resolve the issue very simply by moving my business accounts to another bank which was what probably pushed them to give me more compensation. So there you go - technical issues may make you unable to join or stay in the scheme even though you are eligible...
I'm calling this Strike Two after the failure to get Apple Pay working... I only stay because the current Account Plus is good value for me as I have a joint account and have used the RAC, travel insurance and other services.0 -
I am looking at opening a Barclays account to get the Blue Reward. I am only doing this to get the £48 (non taxpayer) a year to offset some of the Santander fee. I have already got all the top bank accounts and regular savers for interest. I also already have Co-op and Halifax.
Will having 2 Tesco direct debits fulfil the requirements? I know it states 2 different direct debits and other people have said that they have managed to get away with this for Lloyds, BOS and Halifax which also state the same thing. I have 3 separate Tesco Internet Savers so they would be going into different accounts.
I questioned Barclays in January for my sister and they said that if it is the same company i.e. Tesco then NO this would not fulfil the requirements, so just wondered if anyone has been successful?0 -

Separate means separate mandates, NOT separate companies. And yes, it works for Halifax, Barclays and Co-op.0
