We now have some answers but unfortunately I can't post links. A quick google of 'Barclays Blue Rewards' pulls up a couple of articles.

    Launches next week.
    Pay in £800 per month.
    Have 2 Direct Debits.
Set up online or mobile banking.

I'm already with them so if the T&Cs are acceptable, I'll go for this £4 gain every month.

I am quite interested in this account as we have our mortgage with Barclays ( Woolwich ), so would get £7 + £5 less £3 fee, so £9 per month.

Wondering whether the £800 + you have to pay in per month, has to be paid in as salary, or if could just transfer it from my existing current account ( Santander 123 ) ?

How exactly could a bank know the source of funds as long as it comes from a different bank's sort code?
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

Sometimes, there’s no pleasing me. That comment comes from someone who has been paying their Barclays (woolwich) mortgage for the last 24 years and 10 months.:D

I wonder if they'll let you have loads of accounts with this on. It could be Halifax reward all over again...

That would be interesting; I missed the boat on the multiple Halifax rewards and would love to take advantage of this if multiples are allowed.

I will be taking advantage anyway; just applied for a Barclays Bank Account to start the ball rolling; now just need to wait and add the blue reward package when it becomes available.

Barclays just confirmed to me [on Twitter] that you can have as many accounts as you want, "subject to application". Hmm... :rotfl:

Did you ask specifically about Blue Rewards or accounts in general?

That doesn't necessarily mean a reward will be paid multiple times. I hope I am wrong but I suspect it will be one customer gets one reward package.

I'm not convinced it's linked to any particular account, the cashback isn't paid into an account but a 'separate separate digital Rewards Wallet, accessed through Barclays Online Banking or the Barclays Mobile Banking app'

I phoned them as I have an old Platinum account and wanted to know if I could 'link' it to that and the chap I spoke to said (apart from the other prerequisites) all you need is online or mobile banking and a PINSentry device, which suggests it's one per customer
