Morning All
N9eav - enjoy your fishing trip
Dogrose - big congrats to DS
Lovely here at the moment. DS is off to footie later and DD will probably please herself all day. Me - I shall be in my office doing loads of paperwork and my big filing job that I ignore until its too big. Not looking forward to it but always feel so much happier when its done.
Need to get mince out of the freezer as having chilli for tea tonight, probably ham rolls for lunch. Will put some washing in but not sure if any housework will be done today.
Have a lovely day whatever you are doing.0 -
Good morning all!
(((HUGS)) to anyone who needs one.....
same old same old here.
It was great watching the 2 cats trying to catch bugs yesterday evening, they were out in teh garden. Looked like cat ballet - dive, pounce, swoop, flip, swoop, lick....
Got to order our org veg box today.... almost finished the last one, got beetroot, round courgettes, a turnip (in this weather!) and a pepper left.
Going to cook/roast/bake a chicken this AM and have it cold for dinner with the bootroot, pickled, and ????? Havent' found a recipe for the chicken yet, want to do something different.... if I have the ingredients!0 -
Morning all
JackieO - Hugs for thursday, glad you had a nice picnic in Whitstable - it's nice there.
Snowy - Glad you got your kitty ok, my eldest kitty wasn't keen on the new recruit (5 years ago now) they still avoid each other now - one is king of the front garden, the other the king of the back - their paths only cross at feeding time.
Glorious looking morning, although rain forecast for later  DH left early for work and is then travelling on to (oooops forgotten where) for a meeting - he won't be home until tomorrow night - maybe I'll get a better nights sleep.
Off to the farmers market later, need to post some birthday cards whilst I'm out, did all the ironing yesterday - may spend some time ironing lables into the new school uniform then I need to get the steam cleaner out to attack the floors.
Hope you all have a fabulous day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Morning everybody :hello:
Just a quickie, off to work soon (sending envy vibes to N9eav)
Bought myself a new pair of trousers for £8 yesterday in the Next sale - a real stroke of luck actually, as I bought the same pair in a different colour a couple of weeks ago (same price) and they are so comfy and flattering, I'm glad I found the second pair in the right size.
This month looks like a pricey one. I've got just over £200 in the "reserve fund" at the moment, and having totted up the cost of all the things I need or really want at the moment (birthday gifts for friends, a meal out for one of said friends' birthdays, music for my singing lessons, odds and ends of household stuff, a couple of items of clothing) the budget says I come out with £11 remaining
Oh by the way, my brother has now confirmed that he's definitely moving to London :j :j :j He and his flatmate have found an ex council flat near Waterloo for a very reasonable (by central London standards) rent, and are moving in over the Bank Holiday weekend :j :j :j
Anyway must be off
See you later, love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Another busy day in OS land!
Hope the 'crops' do all right Aussielass! How many of each did you put in?!! It's the weeding that will keep you fit!
Congrats on the DS exam results dogrose - you must be chuffed!
Mioliere - it's a real pain when you commit so much time to sitting in for something that didn't arrive - hope you got lots done indoors to compensate.
Snowy - v jealous of you having a new kitty around. Sadly, we lost Ozzie a couple of years ago (she was 18) and have resisted the temptation of another one. However, reading about yours gets me really sentimental...........
I have just put my resignation on my bosses desk. Boy, did that feel good!!! Nothing to go to, but cannot stand another day with this company, it is really bad for my health. So need some ideas of work which let me control my own hours - though not sure I could take the calls like Hester!!
Good fishing N9eav!! Going after that Big Fish? !!
Have a lovely day everyone,

Morning Chums a glorious day by the looks of it at the moment
. Sparks coming this morning to install posh new wall light and a double plug in the conservatory then the plasterers this afternoon fingers crossed
.My pal is coming for the day from Dartford and I have already sorted out a nice salady lunch for us .
My eldest Grandson who is looking for part-time work to keep him going whilst at college was rung by the local studios yesterday, and they say they can give him as much 'extras' work as he wants and will fit it in around his college course:j .He is thrilled as he did some before he went on holiday and enjoyed it, as he is keen to go into journalism and/or t.v., and the guy on the 'floor 'at the studios took a liking to him as he was so interested in how everything works on the production side so it looks as though his face fits at the moment :j .The money is fairly good for a student ,around £25 per day.So he is hoping to get enough for his driving lessons which will start in November .
I have been busy this morning and stripped my bed and got the WM on the go as I want to be up to date with all of my washing ect by the time I go in. I won't be able to do a lot when I come out ,no ironing for at least 6 weeks .my DD said she will do it for me ,and no hoovering :eek:either .So I am rushing around trying to make my house as clean as possible .
I have already filled my freezer with lots of frozen meals that I just have to chuck in the microwave.Home-made ones of course.
I hope everyone has a lovely day and thank you to all those kind people who have PM'd me with their good wishes and thoughts:A .One of the lovely ladies in my local Tesco's said she is going to light a candle for me on Thursday, and have a word with the big feller upstairs .All prayers gratefully received .
<<Hugs>> to those in need and a bigto the rest of you
Have a good one
Love JackieO0
