I am trying to think where you could sit on a verandah watching mountains, but still get the papers? :)

see I think we are awfy spoiled here, we can sit on the verandah here and stare up the hills at sheep, cows and the occasional horse, I think what we would love most would be our house able to shrink down put it in a bag and carry it where ever we go, pull it out and just add water ... you know kinda like those roundabouts that keep appearing from no where ?

Google Orgiva in Spain. Surrounded by olive groves, yoga retreat, Buddhist monastery and I think a kiteflying place on your doorstep, bus to Granada. You can watch the Sierra Nevada all day - you have to look *up* to them, mind :)

I did ... sigh ... showed Mr El there and he said yep something like that :)

Where I am you can live in the mountains and drive down to the garage to get the paper flown in from Madrid that morning (not just to the garage obviously, other outlets are available :D). Not so sure there are many herds of goats in the mountains - at least not to guarantee bells - but where I am I see them most days and they make a surprisingly loud 'munchy munchy' noise as they chomp on the plants. There are goats that look like goats, goats that look like sheep and sheep that think they're goats but they're not, as they find out when they try to climb trees happy-sheep-smiley-emoticon.gif:D

this had us in stitches ... I think I may have met some of those sheep, they tried to headbutt someone I was with :)

Well shift done today, it was quite an emotionally draining shift, I know I will love being a nurse and I know I will be a great nurse when I am one, but some days I have no doubt it will be really emotionally draining, watching people that are really ill and not being able to ease their or their loved ones suffering can make a person feel useless...

So a wee glass of wine and a catch up with todays political programmes so I can shout at the telly and get all the yucky stuff out :)

day off tomorrow but I think it would be easier if I was working ... Having looked at my to do list makes me wish I had a wee shift lol

Thanks Sque :), tbh every job has it's good points and bad points and I have yet to see a job that is not important ... I'm sure your job is rough as well and I'm positive I probably couldnt manage it...

It's like the whole first world problems talk, just because some things may seem trivial compared to other peoples doesnt mean their problems are not important or doesn't have rough days not trying to suggest your job isn't important BTW .... Think that maybe came out wrong sorry

It must be rough, El ... I think the thing to do is find a balance where you can empathise and be respectful, without being overwhelmed. And sometimes that can even mean using imagery, keeping an image in your head - a blue cloak, for example, or a trelliswork of glass bricks ... whatever keeps you safe, well and functioning and useful to your patients...

A full day off of work, now I should be studying but I am so tired I think I might just go back to bed :)

Nothing much happening here, I have been at a CW meeting and finally we seem to have some progress which is exciting in itself, I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops, tomorrow I am meeting up with Butti and Skinty so that will be great also ( hey ladies) and Sunday will be another day of working, but I think I may try and just do a half shift instead of a full shift as I am shattered.

Went to a Hustings meeting last night, landed up shouting at our MP, there is only so much lies I can handle, dont think I will go to anymore as its a waste of time, but I can say I have been to one atleast.

Money wise, everything is going according to plans, managed to Tilly Tidy a few more pennies for the mortgage, spoke a girl at work about it and it appeared a wee light bulb went off in her head when I did, I hope so as she did express to me how her mortgage was killing her and she had to pay it for another 20 years and was dreading it. I showed her a quick couple of quotes just paying an extra £50 a month or £100 a month and she was very surprised, more so surprised about the amount of time it took off her mortgage free date.

I can't believe that you've managed to resist shouting at an MP until now ;)

Well done for trying to help out a colleague, little and gentle tips are about as far as we can assist unless someone is really interested. I try and not talk about such things with my colleagies as many of them are local government 'lifers', where hanging around for decades is considered normal.
