A full day off of work, now I should be studying but I am so tired I think I might just go back to bed... tomorrow I am meeting up with Butti and Skinty so that will be great also ( hey ladies)Money wise, everything is going according to plans, managed to Tilly Tidy a few more pennies for the mortgage, spoke a girl at work about it and it appeared a wee light bulb went off in her head when I did, I hope so as she did express to me how her mortgage was killing her and she had to pay it for another 20 years and was dreading it. I showed her a quick couple of quotes just paying an extra £50 a month or £100 a month and she was very surprised, more so surprised about the amount of time it took off her mortgage free date.edinburgher wrote: »I can't believe that you've managed to resist shouting at an MP until now2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Well done for trying to help out a colleague, little and gentle tips are about as far as we can assist unless someone is really interested. I try and not talk about such things with my colleagies as many of them are local government 'lifers', where hanging around for decades is considered normal.
welllllll ... I have been known to have a bit of a go at some in the street, now I know this all makes me sound like a deranged woman and sometimes I can be, but not on these occasions, last night the idiot started going on about badger culling in Scotland and how the SNP are not condoning it in their literature, now he was shouting about this so I felt it my duty to inform the nutter that we dont in fact have badger culling in Scotland. I had to shout to make myself heard over the nutter with the microphone ( and I managed :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) to which he replied well they dont oppose it to which I added well that would be because that is an English only matter and the SNP dont vote on matters that dont involve Scotland ... and finished it off with are parties meant to write about things that dont concern them as well now ... it descended into chaos there and then :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
:rotfl:now the idiot that I had a go with in the street was going on about trident and well that didnt sit well with me either so .....
So yeah the colleague, I hope she does go with it and does do some research and maybe slowly that light bulb will get brighter for her, but I wont push it or anything as I dont think that would be any help at all, but if she asks me anymore I will be directing her to all you good people :j:j0 -
Sounds good. You have long days!
:j:j:j
yep they are killers and I am honestly done in with them, just got up again so I slept really well
Thats great! My sister used to mention "overpaying the mortgage" to me, and it never entered my head to query what she meant - I wish I had
I know hindsight is such a great benefit isnt it
Me too :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Och you must think me a crazy deranged mad wumminI tend to excercise my rights often I must say :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Had the SNP candidate come up to me and ask El did you get your polling card through yet, Yep I replied, are you gonna vote for me please, Nope I replied .... she said right I have got to work on you then :rotfl::rotfl: and yes she knows me by name, we chat often, very nice girl that I hope wins the seat0 -

phew another manic few days
met the love Skinty and Butti, was great as always to catch up, Mr El had fun at the rally whilst us ladies chatted
then back to work with a bump, got some results in today I passed my last set of exams so I just have my paper and all my placement stuff to do and I should effectively be finished first year
Wages however, well because I had been sent to different wards I am missing quite a lot, in a month that I need them as well ... so the plan will be put my holiday money into the bank so that all bills are covered and phone work to see about wages0 -
Great about the meetup - but sorry about the wages! How come they don't pay you because you're on the wards, that sounds off! Hope you can fix it soon.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

its one of those things that happens from time to time Kc ... pain in the backside, so I finally got through after 45 mins on hold, they will sort the wages for next month, now I am not sure how that will be next month as I may land up having to pay tax and NI on the wages because they will put them through as next months wage not this months wage taking me over the tax and NI line, now the tax I will get back but I dont think I will get back the NI ... Grrrrrr
In other news, my tooth broke so I need to get to the dentist, my pension payments at work were put up 2.2% I dont have an issue with this tbh but if I only earn a few thousand a year then it is the wrong amount to be paying.
Have also paid in the holiday money to the bank so that the bills are covered ( due to lack of wages) will now need to persue the Tax man for the return of my over payments so that I have some holiday money atleast0 -
Very grrrr. And very ow, about the tooth! I hope its not hurting you2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
Thankfully I am pain free Kc
phoned up and got an appointment for next month, they asked if I was in pain and said if I was to just phone back and get an emergency one, very nice of them
