    My budgeting has also gone to pot, I need to get myself motivated, currently trying to see how many classes I can squeeze out of my gym membership so sort of on the right track...

    Just seen them, they're both well :T. But slightly miffed at being overtaken so swiftly by my 'eating out' budget :rotfl:.

    * dusts off diary*

    Well its been a wee while I see, not too much has been happening in El land, been studying, passed first year and now done first placement of second year, bought a caravan as we felt we are no longer healthy enough to camp and have missed having holidays.

    My mother died so we had to travel all the way to Wales a couple of times, have carried on paying down the mortgage and slowly paying down the debt as well, so we are still on course for being debt free within the next three years, have opened a bank account giving 5% interest and as I am below the tax threshold I will get the full 5% .

    Have got a wee break to London in the new year to look forward too, we are taking an aunty that requires a lot of help, so whilst it isnt a holiday it is a wee break away.

    Nothing else really happening tbh and I have found it really hard to come back here to write stuff, its purely due to not thinking I have anything of any interest to say, I'm ( as Beanie would say) Plodding, just sticking with the plan, yes we do divert fairly often, but never in such a bad way we cant find our way back :)

    Hope everyone else is good ?

    So sorry to hear about your mum, El, that's got to have been hard - no wonder you're just plodding. Hope you're coping, and giving yourself time to grieve too.

    Caravanning sounds like a good way to carry on getting the experience of off the cuff holidays without the hassle of camping.

    I'm good - just counting down till I retire! There's a wedding in Scotland to go to, too!

    Thanks for the condolences everyone, its been a strange time to put it mildly, I am looking forward to the summer in the caravan, just a chance to get away and relax would be lovely I think.
