Money in Money out, you know how that goes :)

So 0% credit card paid for the month, council tax paid for the month and some money tucked away to make life easier for the rest of the month, now back to waiting for the next lot of wages to come in.

Shoulder still very sore and stiff, I cant quite tie my hair up yet and still having to have several "showers" per day, but it is slowly recovering, however, I will have to get a shift for Sunday as I cant afford not to work, fingers crossed it has recovered enough for then. Foot also very sore and whilst I have been resting it I have also tried to get out for a walk as I am starting to go nuts sitting about, not been long walks admittedly just maybe a wee 20 mins or so, and by the time I am home I am in agony, but I have been walking.

Plans for the rest of the day, well uni work, I am meeting a fellow student today and we are going into uni to try and get on top of our end of year stuff, I have loads to do so between today and Friday I will hopefully have most of it done.

Have a good one people :)

So sat down with Mr El for the weekly review of finances, We were working it week about, one totting up the bills etc and one noting it down in the big red book. This seemed to get too confusing for Mr El so we have decided to just do one thing till Mr El gets the hang of it.

The shocking thing for me was this week we spent £122 on shopping ... !!!!!! £122 our monthly budget is £125 ( a tight month this month, due to excess holiday spends) leaving us £3 for the rest of the month, well that aint gonna happen is it?

The good thing about it is we now have enough Chicken, mince and sausage for the whole month ( I hope) I have often tried to portion our meat out so that we have enough to help us feel full but not too much, I had asked previously on MSE roughly how much we should use, I was advised 100g per portion, for us that just wasnt enough, we were always hungry even though we loaded up with veg, so I have started portioning up 125g it's slightly better but we are still hungry but we are gonna try and get used to the 125g and see how we go.

Have made a few lunch meals for when I am at work just to save us money through the month as I tend to spend a fortune when I am at work due to it being a canteen and not cheap at that.

Other than that the other unplanned spend was to buy those bags that you can put a quilt into and use a hoover to suck out the air in order to save space, we often have son and gf over to stay and the quilt required for them ( they sleep downstairs) is one of those big heavy ones that seems to take up so much space, the house is currently annoying Mr El and myself so we need to sort some messy things out like quilts lying about, so hopefully that will be one job done :)

£122 for a week is quite spendy, we're at £78 for the MTD for two of us, more if you include formula :)

For me, those bags would have come under household maintenance or similar...

Aye Ed they will go under Misc which is a kindve catch all for those one off purchases :)

The food was awfy high this week, I did buy 2 kg of mince, 4 kg of chicken breast and 3 kg of chicken tikka as well as 3 Lorne of square sausage and 4 kg of lurpack butter as well as the normal get etc, so yes its a fortune but the freezer is full and we have loads of portions for work etc, think I am going to have to go to the big Chinese supermarket in Glasgow to buy take away dishes as I've used them all up :)

I'm going to try and not buy any food for at least a week. I would suggest you do what I am doing....open the fridge and freezer. Eat what you have before you buy anything else. You may surprise yourself.

Great idea - wonder if I could dry some rosemary for mine :).
