fwiw i chose not to have this Barclaycard Cashback account.. as compared to Amex and CapOne i would never have used it.. and just merged the limit with my other Barclaycard. it still doesn't appeal very much.0

I have a Barclaycard cashback card Amex/Visa, I normally get a statement on the 12/13 of the month, however this month no sign as of yet. Has anyone else had this?0

I've had my Barclaycard Platinum just over 6 months now. I phoned and asked to transfer to the cashback card, but they said I'm not eligible.
Maybe I need to wait another month until their computers generate the offers... they're currently offering me 0% deals on BT and cash to bank, as well as recently increased my limit from £1500 to £4000, and lowered my interest rate.
Edit - Just phoned them and they've now said I'm eligible and have transferred me to the cashback duo card.0 -
Intriguing if this is still available, seeing as the page they had about it on their website has disappeared.
Just had a secure message saying there are no eligible upgrades available to me at the moment, though I've not quite had my card 6 months yet.
I'll try on the phone in a month or so!0 -

Offer still available. I was very recently upgraded. Just waiting for my cards now.
Also, I spoke to their Live Chat team to ask them where that page was and if they could kindly link me to it because like derelyth said, it's not there anymore.
They had no idea what I was talking about! The agent even patronizingly explained that a Barclaycard Visa is a Barclaycard and the American Express Barclaycard is actually owned by an American Bank. Called American Express. And that 'American Express is not a Barclaycard.'

Hi everyone, long time lurker, first time poster.
I have just upgraded my initial account to the cashback account after having my initial since February. Did this over the phone and was told my cards would be sent out.
Does anyone know how long they take to process the changeover? Request was put through nearly 3 weeks ago and still haven't received cards or changed from initial on my online account.0 -

I've had my Platinum card since Feb also. Upgraded a few days ago. Received a txt 24 hours later saying 'Thanks for switching to cashback card. We're processing this now and will be in touch soon'. I believe it changes to the new card straight after you next statement, so mine will be around 27th Sep.0 -

They only process the switch on your next statement date, at which point you should see the changes to your online account (it's still one account, but you can see separate transaction lists for the two cards as well as information about how much cashback you have earned). The new cards are sent out at this point or shortly afterwards.
If you requested the switch quite close to a statement date (around a week), it may have been too late to go through in time for the next statement, so you may be waiting a full month after that...0 -
It is interesting that Barclaycard are still switching people to the cashback card given they may have to drop at least the Visa cashback rate in a couple of months.0

Ah brilliant. Thanks for both your replies. Think I requested it a few days after my last statement, next statement due within the next week or so, so just missed it!0
